Alicante Market and Santa Barbara Castle
A fantastic tour, with an amazing guide in Fran. Very informative, telling you all those little details that you would never know about otherwise. Lovely look around the largest market in Spain with some tasting of local food, followed by a taxi up to Santa Barbara Castle (Fortress), with more great facts and amazing views of the entire area. Tour finishes with some nice tapas and a drink. Can’t recommend it enough, Fran is a brilliant tour guide.

Delicious and fun foodie tour!
We booked the evening tour and met our guide outside the central market at 6pm (guide messaged us day prior to confirm details). There were 4 of us on the tour (us and another couple) and the tour lasted around 2.5 hours. We visited 5 stops (shops and bars) and enjoyed cold cuts, some tapas, Alicante rice, sweet treats, wine and sangria! Our guide Paco (hopefully I’ve remembered his name correctly) was friendly and informative and explained he could arrange alternatives if required for anyone not eating meat or fish. Please note the end point of the tour is different from the start point (end point was just a short walk from the Explanada). We thought the tour was very good value for money and would be pleased to recommend.

A Wonderful Tour with Paula – Highly Recommend!
Paula, also known as Paola, gave us such a wonderful tour! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and so many great facts along the way. The best part was ending the tour with tapas! Paula made the entire experience feel so personal and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed every minute of it. If you’re considering this tour, you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!

Slice, Dice, Drink and Eat
This paella cooking class was a really fun experience. We started at the central mercado of Alicante, Spain. Got to see how the residents of Alicante shop for fresh food. Purchase some of the items that we need for our paella. After our shopping we took a short stroll to cooking class. There we sliced, diced, drank wine, ate appetizers and cooked our paella all before we got to eat what we cooked. This was an exceptional experience. Thank you to our chef Ms. O!
