Make your own way to the Palace of Versailles by taking the RER C train from central Paris or by private vehicle.
Your guide will meet you at the GetYourGuide Shop, located just across the street from the Versailles Château Rive Gauche train station, to begin your visit.
Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the opulent French palace. Witness the splendor of the King’s and Queen’s State Apartments, and marvel at the iconic Hall of Mirrors while your guide provides insights into the rich history of the palace.
Following the guided portion, step into the expansive gardens at your leisure, though note that additional fees apply on days featuring the fountain or musical shows. Your tour ends when you decide to make your way back to Paris.

- The time shown on your voucher is the meeting time at the office. The tour will depart a few minutes after.
- Entry is only possible together with the guide at the scheduled time.
- In case of late arrival, access to the Palace is not guaranteed. If a later tour is available, additional fees will apply to reschedule.
- From April to October, an additional garden ticket is required (Musical Gardens and Fountain Shows). The gardens are free from November to March.
- On peak days, the scheduled access time may be delayed due to security checks implemented by the Palace of Versailles.
- The Palace tour lasts 1.5 hours, but add 30 minutes for tickets and security checks.
- Baby strollers may be refused at the entrance of the palace.
- From Wednesday 15 July to Saturday 22 August, the RER C will not operate between Paris and Versailles Château Rive Gauche train station, please use lines L (Versailles Rive Droite) or N (Versailles Chantiers) to reach the meeting point.

Q:Can we visit the gardens while at Versailles?
A:Absolutely! Between November and March, admission to the gardens is complimentary, however, from April through October there is a separate admission required for the gardens, payable upon arrival.

Versailles is incredible and well worth the 30 min drive/train to visit. Our tour guide, Aurelia, was very knowledgeable and nice.

The tour guide was very nice and helpful. However, there were a lot of stops though which made the tour feel very long, and we personally as a family prefer seeing the site a lot more than hearing a ton of talking about the history. Just know going into it that there’s no air conditioning in the Palace and that the tour guide talks a lot in some of the rooms. We left early because of that and so did others.

Anna did an excellent job. Got us thru the lines quickly. She is very knowledgeable regarding the Palace of Versailles. There is a lot of walking and since it’s Summer it’s warm but bearable. Thank you Anna!

We travelled from Paris and went straight to Versailles Palace early but had difficulty finding the meet up point. I was messaged by the company and realised we had walked past the meeting point on the way to Versailles Palace. I ran back to the meeting point and passed my tour group just leaving the meeting point.
My family and I were then only 10 or so minutes late. The company never offered us to stay at Versailles Palace entry and just meet the tour group there like they had done for others. Instead I was told I had to come to the office and was charged an extra 50 Euro for the next tour time, when we had already paid $406 AUD for the tour. I pleaded with them to allow us to join in with the initial tour group but it seemed like they were just money hungry and wanted extra. This was really disappointing from Get Your Guide who is associated with Viator. No one was trying to be helpful, just money hungry company.

Please note that we run several tours throughout the day. Because you arrived at our office around 10:25am, this was after the scheduled departure time of your tour, so the group you saw leaving was very likely not your booked tour.
At the Palace of Versailles, the rules are extremely strict: once the guide has entered the Palace, it is not possible to join the group inside, and entry is only permitted with a guide at the assigned time slot. For this reason, meeting the group directly at the Palace entrance is unfortunately not an option once the group has already entered.
The additional fee you paid was used to secure new timed tickets so you could still access the Palace on the next available tour. This was not a “full second charge” for the tour, but the cost required to rebook entry for a different time.
We apologize if this felt unnecessary or frustrating, but these conditions are part of the Palace’s regulations and are also stated on the voucher. If you’d like, please contact us directly and we’ll be happy to review your booking and explain the charges in detail.

Easy to find our tour guide and she was great woth all the information we needed in the palace.
Would absolutely recommend a tour like this as you have faster check into the palace and good to know what your looking at aswell

Our guide Nils was wonderful with the little ones in our party and tried to engage them along with the adults which we appreciated very much. We were also late to our tour because of transit delays and they were able to work with us to find a replacement time provided whatever was available.

great guide, the tickets were sold out so this was the only way to get in. This ticket does not cover the garden so that will be an extra expense. I thought the tour was just enough information to leave with new knowledge without making us super bored or tired.

Aurelia was fantastic, so knowledgeable, personable, and extremely patient with some of the more challenging participants. The tour was informative but not too long which I appreciated, gave me plenty of time to tour the gardens which is a separate ticket, well worth it though.

Well organized but English speaking guide had a VERY thick accent and most of what was said was not understandable. The Palace is not that impressive and entry way oversold.

We have taken many Viator tours throughout our travels and yet to have a bad experience. This was no exception. This tour guide was very knowledgable and had many stories to tell within our tour. She was an excellent tour guide and easy to understand her English. She was fantastic. Usually everyone gives a tip at the end of the tour but no one did on this one which surprised me as this guide was one of the best.

Was not a good experience for me. Uber took us to the wrong spot and there was no refund for being late and missing it. We came late and were not allowed to join once we arrived. No refund if you are late either. Sad experience!

Please note that your booking was for a skip-the-line guided tour with a scheduled entry time. For this type of visit, the group must enter at the assigned time and, due to the Palace’s strict rules, it isn’t possible to wait for late arrivals.
In addition, we do not offer simple tickets that could be used to enter later, as access is tied to the group’s time slot. This information is included in the product description.

We had a great guide who knew history. As we were walking to the palace she was already sharing history lessons. She did amazing. We traveled with 12 and 17 year old and they loved it. We were staying in Paris. It was easy to get to the meeting spot by train.
