This cooking school experience was excellent! The cooks are pros - and passionate about Croatian food. We prepared an entire meal after buying produce at the market. Each guest can participate as much or little as they like making the experience perfect for everyone! Also, great tour and history as we walked from the market to the cooking school. We had the most incredible experience with this cooking class in Split! From the start, our private chef guided us through both the fish market and green market, teaching us so much along the way. Marin was so unbelievably knowledgeable, and his passion really shines.
Both my partner and I love to cook (he even more than I do!), and this class was a highlight of our trip. We laughed nonstop, shared stories, even bonded over our favorite movie Ratatouille. The food, the wine, the snacks — everything was absolutely delicious.
This wasn’t just a cooking class; it felt like an experience we’ll be talking about to everyone we know. We would do this again in an instant. If you’re in Split, don’t miss it — truly unforgettable!

This experience was great. It was really easy to meet with with the chef, walked around on the way to the school and got some history and seeing the fresh food available.
Zeljko took the time to answer all my questions and work with me while cooking. It was an overall great experience.

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I learned a lot and we made a lot of food. The risotto was the best I've ever had. The school is very close to the palace so it was easily walkable from where I was staying. I will use a lot of the skills I learned in the future. It is one of the fondest memories I have of Croatia.

This was a phenomenal experience. We got to learn about local cuisine and experience hands-on food preparation, including fish preparation, which I've wanted to learn more about. The instructors were friendly, helpful, and engaging and the food was excellent. We highly recommend this experience if you are interested in full immersion into the Dalmatian region.

Incredible experience! This cooking class was done very well, in that we shopped for the ingredients in the local market, which some cooking classes don’t do. It was very hands-on in the kitchen. They had snacks, wine and water to enjoy throughout the 4-hour experience. They accommodate food allergies if that’s relevant to you. We prepared a multi course meal from scratch. This is a must do in Split!!!

This was a very nice way to spend the morning and have lunch. The visit to the fish market is particularly interesting for those of us who have a much more limited array of fish available to us. Learning to clean the fish is an important skill. Our teacher was quite patient with us. We highly recommend it.

It was interesting to learn how to clean the fish at class - usually we do it daily and sometimes forget that someone is not use to it.... when you come again we will check if you have practiced at home :)

fantastic experience! the chef i worked with was very friendly and walked me through the cooking experience. she made sure i was getting the practical knowledge of the courses we made. while cooking, she provided a lot of background and cultural significance of what we were making why. an all around great experience!

The food was really very good and the cooking school was professional. We started with a short tour of the Green Market and a history lesson. We walked to the school, had a snack and were divided in to two groups. The fish and veggie cooking group was definitely more interactive. Desserts and bread was more watching. It was a great rainy day activity.

The chef was a very mature 25 years old who was very knowledgeable about the city. He had a wonderful demeanor and fantastic culinary skills. I would highly recommend this tour. Outstanding! Make sure you come hungry!!!

We had the morning course with green market tour which was really fun. On top of that we got mini walking tour in the old city on the way to the fish market.
At the academy we had snacks waiting for us and got lesson about the fish we were about to cook. After that it was cooking time (with drinks). So much fun, so much food and we had great group (7). The teachers were both great. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes cooking and food.

Drago was such an amazing host and teacher. My favorite part of the trip was picking our ingredients in the market for our meal. I really enjoyed learning the dishes and having all around fun in the kitchen laughing and cooking. He really represents this school well and I have a new love for Croatian people.

My wife and I always love unique experiences. Especially non touristy ones that help you get to have a better understanding of the culture. This experince was everything we could have imagined and hoped for. Loving to cook and being away from home for a week, being back in the kitchen was a lovely feeling. Drago, our chef, was knowledgeable, personable, and great at helping us walk through all the steps of prepping the meal. The walking tour of the markets included some history and such of the town which was an added bonus. We lucked out and it ended up just being my wife and I so we really got a chance to discuss culture and cooking with Drago.
Such a delightful and unique experience. If you enjoy cooking and great food, and want something not pushed on you on a pier like another pirate ship crusie.... Check this experince out!

Absolutely phenomenal!! A cooking class with a true Master Chef. A really professional set up in a proper cooking academy. I could not believe the amount we learnt about fresh produce and the skills we picked up from baking bread to cleaning fish, to making a sauce base and desserts. It all looked and tasted amazing. Could not recommend more!

We enjoyed our class so much! We had a small group, since we attended off-season. Our guide directed us in creating a wonderful set of dishes, which we were each fully involved in creating. The whole experience was great, and highly recommended.

Myself and my two daughters enjoyed this day very much. Met at the market and were told all about how the fruit and veg and fish markets are run and some of Split”s history. The cookery school was air conditioned with top class facilities. Chef was a very good teacher explaining everything and helping. Our menu was fish based but he was very careful to check beforehand that we were all happy with eating fish. Learnt a lot and also learnt more about Croatia whilst eating our lunch. Would highly recommend this experience. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere though you are expected to do the cooking.

I had read all of the prior reviews before booking my trip so my expectations were high and the Split Cooking Class completely lived up to and exceeded every expectation that I had! Chef was amazing in explaining things both in the markets and in the kitchen an clearly has a passion for what he does! I was able to do some many things that I would never have done on my own such as try eating stingray, which is actually super good and I learned to filet a fish and bake bread. However, even if you already know how to do all of these things, there is still a lot you can get out of this class. It was a lovely and relaxing day full of eating, drinking, cooking, and good conversation. You definitely do not want to plan a lot of other things during the day so that you can take the time to fully enjoy this experience. I couldn't recommend this class more!

This was a great class. It was fun from the minute we went to the markets for our ingredients til we ate our delicious meal. The chef told interesting stories as he guided us through preparing various seafood dishes, breads and desserts.

Chef Zeljko was fantastic! Such a talented chef and a wonderful, patient teacher. We walked through the green market and the fish market to purchase ingredients for our meal. We learned a lot from the start. Once we were at the academy we had a wonderful snack and drink and then off to work. There were 7 of us in our group and we all participated in several dishes and the end meal was huge and every part of it was delicious. I definitely learned things to take home and use in my own kitchen. This is well worth the time and such a great way to immerse yourself in the culture.
