My husband and I visited Croatia for the first time (April 2026). We kept hearing from friends and locals that we should do a tour of the islands. We are so glad we took their advice! Nikola and Duje were our captains/crew members and they were AMAZING! They gave us an experience of a lifetime! The water was pretty choppy that day but they navigated the water impeccably and the entire tour group was amazed of how well they managed through the waves/swells. They were a great team and made everyone feel safe, comfortable and ready for a fun day! The blue cave happened to be closed that day due to the weather, but they showed us some other great spots and even got to check out another cave. They provided jackets for us (if we were cold or if we didn’t want to get splashed by the water). My husband and I also brought a small backpack and bottles of water. The speed boat is fast, so just make sure you can secure your bag to your body (I wore my bag on my chest). My husband and I loved our tour and we highly recommend this experience, especially with Nikola and Duje!

Find a Different, More Enjoyable Boat for an Island Tour

Leslie_W, Aug 2026
You spend more time on the speedboat than you do enjoying any of the islands. And the boat has banana seats which is pretty uncomfortable for 5+ hours plus you're holding on for dear life. I would recommend a different type of boat if you really want to enjoy yourself - like being able to walk around, enjoy a drink or even be able to talk to fellow passengers. The Blue Cave was cool - but it's the further out island - so it adds alot of time to the excursion. I can't even name the 5 islands we went to, except Hvar which was nice. And we literally blew by the Blue Lagoon - not able to stop or swim or anything - so not worth it. Overall very disappointed in this tour and don't recommend it. The final issue was our 2 'captains' were 18 and 16 years old which felt very unsafe should we encounter any issues on the water.

Do not recommend

Tony_R, Aug 2026
Very Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations, and based on our experience, we would not recommend it to families looking for a well-organized tour that follows its advertised itinerary. We booked this tour back in April, so there was more than enough time for the operator to know the ages of the passengers in our group and address any concerns regarding whether our child was suitable for the excursion. Even on the day of the tour, we were able to communicate with the operator up until the point of departure from the port. Despite having that opportunity, we were allowed to board and participate in the tour. Then, toward the end of the excursion, we were told that we should take the ferry back because our child was considered too young for the wave conditions. This was extremely frustrating. If our child was considered too young for the conditions, we would have expected that concern to be addressed before we boarded, particularly given that the booking had been made months in advance and we had communicated with the operator before departure. We understand that sea conditions can change and that safety should always come first. However, from our perspective, the situation could have been handled much earlier and communicated before we committed to the excursion. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we were not asking for a refund for the entire tour. We only requested a small, proportional refund for the transportation at the end of the itinerary that we were unable to use, since we were instructed to make our own way back by ferry. Instead, we were left with additional out-of-pocket expenses and lost time. We are sharing this review based solely on our firsthand experience. We are not questioning the operator’s intentions, and we understand that circumstances at sea can change. However, we expected better communication, planning, and consistency with the itinerary. If a child is ultimately considered too young for the conditions, it raises a reasonable question: why was the family allowed to board and proceed with the tour in the first place, especially when the booking had been made months earlier and there was ample opportunity to address the issue? Unfortunately, the experience left us very disappointed. We would not recommend this tour to families who value clear communication, organization, and an itinerary that is followed as planned.

Sad no Blue Cave

Mary_F, Aug 2026
The two tour guide Luka and Luka were great. Customer service the best. I feel the tour center knew the day before that Blue Cave was closed and did not let the client know until we were on the boat. The reason why we paid was to see Blue Cave. We should have been given an option to change the date. It was a lot of money. We should receive a partial refund.

Scam. Bait and Switch.

Laura_A, Aug 2026
Scam. Bait and switch. I paid $147 rather than the cheaper boat tour options thinking the extra charge was for an actual boat. Instead, my group was put on a rubber raft with no seats, NO SHADE, and no nothing. I spent the entire day straddling a metal beam as a seat with no protection from the sun. It got to the point where every time we passed other boats a few of us would jokingly scream, “SOS!” or “save us!” The other passengers were also confused by the rubber raft because the boat shown when we purchased tickets was a normal boat with shade and seats. Two families had small children and they looked miserable. Honestly, everyone looked miserable because we spent several hours on this raft. I don’t understand the good reviews I read before I booked the ticket. Learn from me and know before you go!

Not the boat we paid for – very disappointing

AnaLisa_C, Aug 2026
We paid €125 per person for this Blue Cave tour, but the boat provided was not the boat advertised in the photos or the tour we booked. Instead, we spent the entire day, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on an inflatable dinghy (RIB), basically a rubber boat, not the boat we were shown when booking. was no roof or shade, and we were not given life jackets. Snorkeling equipment was only provided after we asked for it, and it was in poor condition. One of the guides also gave explanations without a microphone, making it impossible to hear. For €125, this is unacceptable. The main issue is that the boat provided was completely different from the one advertised and paid for. We feel misled and scammed.

Wahoo!!!! It’s a fun ride

jose_S, Aug 2026
I’m sure it was posted but in case it was not, this was a super fun outing! The speed boats were surprisingly comfortable and fun to ride in but be prepared for the long traverses from point to point as some were long. Trust what the guides mention as for restaurant recommendations, they did not steer us wrong and be sure to apply and reapply sun screen.

Fantastic!!!

Bad arrangement

WaiHanFlora_L, Aug 2026
We arrived at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time and it was rather chaotic there. There were supposed to be 5 boats but only 4 had arrived on time. As the girl in charge was extremely inexperience, there was no matching of people to the boats according to their check in order. Some people who arrived later just budged in and took our seats. We ended up having to be left on the meeting point with the rest of the people waiting for the 5th boat all by ourselves. We were told we had to be "patient" and it was not their fault before the girl supposed to be in charge left with the 4th boat. WE WERE LEFT ON THE MEETING POINT ALL BY OURSELVES FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES. The 5th boat arrived eventually and we left around 30 minutes after the planned departure time. No explanations were ever given as to why we were left to wait on the pier. How can one enjoy oneself for a nice day out if you were in such a worrisome and traumatic situation before the start of the trip?

Wonderful limestone landscapes

The landscapes of the Adriatic Sea & the blue caves are really wonderful. The two guides Luca & Nicola are very helpful and responsive. Really enjoy the trips.

Loved it!

Very bumpy ride

A must experience!

Maria and France were the best guides! It was truly a unique and wonderful experience. One thing to know- the seats on the boat are more saddle style than bench style. But we wouldn’t have missed it!

What a great day trip...

Jessica_B, Jul 2026
What a great day trip from Split! We all loved seeing the Blue Cave and enjoyed getting a chance to explore multiple locations. We did not read closely enough to know the type of boat we'd be traveling on, so be prepared for a bumpy, wet ride. Would also recommend water shoes for your time at the beach. It's rocky and there are sea urchins in the water. Wear swimsuits the entire time -- we got as wet on the boat as we did swimming!

Great way to spend the day with some caveats

Tijuana_A, Jul 2026
Our tour guides, Anna and Duje were great. The sites we visited were interesting. However, I have several recommendations. 1. There needs to be some type of sgnage to identify the correct location for departure and staff should wear t-shirts or something to identify them with the company. It was difficult to find the staff with no identifying signage. 2. I also think wter should be provided to guests as a courtesy, especially given the cost of the tour. 3. It was not made clear that the 24 Euro cost for the Blue Cave was not optional as there was no way to decline. As a result, it should be included in the cost of the ticket. In addition, I am not sure it was worth the additional cost. 4. Lastly, this trip is not advisable for people who suffer from motion sickness or with certain phusical challenges as you will literally be bounced around for 1.5 hours straight on the first leg of the trip alone.

5 islands

Worth it!

Christopher_L, Jul 2026
My husband and I had a great time on the island hopping excursion from Split to the Blue Cave and Blue Lagoon. The Blue Cave was really cool to see and definitely worth the visit. We also loved swimming at the Blue Lagoon. The water was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. One thing to be aware of is that there is very limited shade at the Blue Lagoon and no food available, so it’s a good idea to bring sun protection and grab some snacks before the tour. Our tour guides did a great job of letting everyone know this ahead of time, which made the day much more enjoyable. The guides were excellent throughout the trip. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable. They kept us informed, were well organized, and helped make the whole experience fun and relaxing. Overall, we had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Split!

Speed boat drenched

Curtis_W, Jul 2026
Only saw 4 islands now 5. Blue cave was amazing though. Speed boats were brutal. Sea was rough and we were in back row. I was drenched solid both going there and coming back to Split. That part was pretty brutal and not much fun. Sort of ruined it for me.

Michael_G, Jul 2026
10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants an adventure. Boat trip there was smooth. Of course due to tides, currents, etc it was a alittle bumpy. The crew was fantastic and super friendly. The only thing I am upset about is not getting any lavender ice cream :(. I had to settle for the chocolate orange (which was phenomenal).

Very good

Brian_H, Jul 2026
Very good experience really enjoyed the little towns, villages we went to very pictureese and the blue cave was excellent

Great bang for buck

gisellebze, Jul 2026
Loved it! Great value for money. We got to see so many different parts of Croatia. Our guides Ivan and his assistant did an excellent job on the tour!

Making Lemonade from Lemons

maryphelps, Jul 2026
You know the saying.....when life throws you lemons, make lemonade! Well that's exactly what happened for our 5 Island, blue cave, Hvar cruise. It was too windy to sail to Hvar. We were offered a refund or reschedule but timing constraints didn't allow a reschedule. We decided to go on the 'alternate' cruise. We were initially very disappointed (Hvar was a must do on our itinerary) and getting out of the harbor was rough. However, it turned into a spectacular day! We went to several smaller islands, swam in a couple of gorgeous lagoons, had a wonderful meal in Milna and met an amazing couple from New Zealand. Our captain navigated the initial rough waters very well. As the day went on the waters were calmer or he found calmer waters, either way worked. First stop was Trogir for a swim, then made stops at Milna on Brac for lunch, another island for an hour to walk and see the village and Maslinica for a final swim. It turned into a lovely day. We are still disappointed that we missed Hvar as we are leaving Split. The driver, Nikolai and the captain was Luca and were the absolute BEST!!! (The islands may but all be correct, going from memory, which is Old).

Not an amazing tour

Jessica_R, Jun 2026
This day trip wasn't exactly as advertised. The boat was sort of uncomfortable and we were squeezed in right behind others sort of ruining the time on the water. The 2nd swimming beach cannot be one of the best in the area - it was crowded, no real beach to sit on, no fish to snorkle with nor and the bottom was rough and it was packed.

Fun all day boat tour!

Richard_K, Jun 2026
Anna and Duje did an excellent job with this tour. The places we visited were beautiful, and the two restaurants where we ate were terrific. My favorites were the Blue Cave and the city of Hvar.

Overall, this was a really good tour and a fun way to experience multiple Croatian islands from Split. The Blue Cave was definitely worth seeing, but make sure you bring cash for the entrance fee since it's not included. The boat seats are pretty uncomfortable, but they play music and go fast, so the rides between stops actually go by pretty quickly. A lot of the stops are self-guided, which I liked because it gave us time to explore at our own pace. I'd also recommend wearing water shoes or shoes you don't mind getting wet since you'll likely be walking into the water at some of the stops. Our tour left right at 7:15 a.m. and we were back a little before 6:00 p.m., so it was a full day but well organized and ran on time. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd definitely recommend it!
