Extremely poor experience

Avoid this trip at all costs, would be my recommendation here. The individual who runs this tour is a nightmare to deal with. I was in Sicily almost two weeks ago and wanted to book the sunset cruise, as I thought it looked really nice. I proceeded to book the cruise, only to be notified by an unintelligible and barely understandable text message stating that the weather wasn't good for sailing, so the upcoming cruise was to be cancelled. That was fine, I understand things like that can happen from time to time. I was offered an alternative date for the cruise, but couldn't avail of it as I was leaving the following day. I mentioned this and subsequently asked for a refund, to which they replied "Ok, no problem. " In the 10 days following this, I sent polite text messages to the individual concerned, asking if they could please just confirm that my refund had in fact been processed. My messages were translated from English to Italian on WhatsApp and each of them were seen and read by the tour provider. It couldn't have been any clearer or more simple. To this day(approaching 2 weeks later), I have had zero communication or acknowledgement from them about the processing of my refund (for the tour that they cancelled), or if a refund has even been issued. This is a very straightforward and uncomplicated process. It can, and obviously should be dealt with with a simple relpy and acknowledgement of my communication and request. I've been a Viator customer for many years, and used the company for excellent tours and experiences worldwide. That's why I'm quite surprised at this bad situation, and want it resolved as soon as possible. So if anyone from Viator (who's platform this individual is trading under), or their representatives need to get in touch with me, please feel free.

I recommend the activity. Calming, relaxing, unwinding but not for those who suffers the seasickness ;) our Italian skipper was kind and welcoming, sailed steadily, offered us a nice spot to swim and prepared sicilian snacks for us, took care of everything. The only minus was that we started half an hour later, as when we'd arrived at the port punctually, we kept on waiting and no one showed up. After I called the italian number showed on the ticket, a man informed us that he would be with us in a few minutes. And finally he appeared and there were only three of us on the borad. I paid for a regular excursions while we had a private tour :) stunning costal views and spectacular sundown. Grazie mille!

Sailing

After a long flight from USA the day before we were tired and this was a very relaxing way to start our vacation. We were able to stop for a swim. Tito was an excellent captain. He served us a light snack of meat, cheese and a cold glass of Prosecco. Good time was had by all.

No trip and no money

We were at the meeting point at 16.15 , but no one ever showed up. I had tried to contact the provider both prior and that day but they were unreachable. I contacted Viator support. They were very kind, but they made clear the provider was the one to return the money. They could only enquire. The provider was unreachable to Viator,too , It was already 6PM of our last day in Catania, so no options other than returning to the hotel and spending the evening there.No money and no trip! Definitely avoid!
