Chef David was fantastic! He clearly explained the steps involved in preparing our meal. Everyone had an opportunity to be a chef. We did more prep than I expected and was pleasantly surprised! Very fun!

Overview

In the evening, head to the Mercado de Triana, and grab an apron: with your guide’s instruction, you’ll cook a 3-course meal, including gazpacho or salmorejo, a classic “tapa,” Valencian paella, and a simple and refreshing dessert to follow. Sangria is made and served during cooking time and up to 2 drinks per person (wine, beer, soda, etc.) are offered with the meal.

Cooking classes are always a highlight for us, and this was no different! I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Dom and Miguel were a great team! Both were engaging, funny and the perfect hosts. We started with sangria, which was not the typical sangria you think of (think sugary hangover). They were very accommodating and made a variation, tinto de verano, for those who preferred. Next we made salmorejo, an Andalusian cold tomato soup, but this is no gazpacho! We then made espinacas con garbanzos, an authentic tapa which was delicious. Finally, we made paella. Dom explained the real story behind the dish. We all had an opportunity to participate in the meal prep, and had a great time chatting with our cooking peers. The end of the meal showcased a delicious lemon sorbet with cava. Overall, this was a great experience. It was fun, informative and, having taken other cooking classes, we felt the food quality was outstanding and worth the price. 😊

Carolyn_D, Feb 2026
This was our second cooking class and we enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. Joined by friends, we had so much fun and learned so much for chef Maria and her team. Food was delicious, plentiful, and unique. Don't miss this!

We absolutely loved this cooking class! Carlos and Lydia were fantastic—engaging, knowledgeable, and focused on sharing helpful tips and tricks while making sure everyone had fun. It was also great meeting other travelers visiting Sevilla. The fact that they provided the recipes afterward so we could recreate everything at home was a wonderful bonus. Truly a memorable evening!

Wouldn't recommend - low quality ingredients and basic setup

Sophia_P, Jan 2026
Do NOT waste your money and time on this experience. The quality of the ingredients was poor, we didnt do any cooking ourselves - just watched the chef cook in front of us. The group was v nice just not worth the money.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. Our cooking classes are designed as chef-led, hands-on demonstrations, where guests actively participate in certain steps, while others are intentionally demonstrated by the chef to ensure proper technique, timing and food safety — especially in a group setting. We work with fresh, local ingredients, and many of our recipes are based on traditional home-style Spanish cooking, which may appear simple but is deeply rooted in quality produce and technique rather than elaborate presentation. We appreciate your kind words about the group atmosphere and take your comments seriously, as they help us continue improving and communicating more clearly what the experience involves. We wish you all the best and thank you again for joining us.

Extremely gracious hosts, immaculately clean kitchen, and a fabulous time learning how to make salmorejo, spinach with garbanzos, paella, and sangria. We have re-created these recipes at home in the US because we enjoyed them so much. Leo is a brilliant chef and has the gift of bringing people together and making everyone feel completely at home. We look back upon this experience with such happiness and appreciation, and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Penelope_S, Dec 2025
The hosts were fun, had very good English and the dishes were delicious and not too complicated. Recipes were shared via email later. The explaination of where to meet was decent and necessary. I would suggest that they add "our space is on the row closest to the main road" to the meet up directions.

Fun and Tasty

This was so fun! It was great to connect with other travelers while getting a history and culinary lesson all in one. The food was delicious and we came home after our honeymoon to immediately make the dishes for our friends and family.

Learn how to make paella the right way.

Amisha_G, Nov 2025
Leo was fun as our chef and cooking instructor. I am a vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate me even at the last minute. If you want to learn the correct way to make paella, this class is worth taking because not only is he funny, but he also makes sure everyone participates and gets hands-on experience, no matter your cooking level.

Great cooking class

Tracy_L, Nov 2025
The chef was knowledgable and friendly and the food turned out delicious. I would recommend for anyone to try plus they serve Sangria!

Seville Cooking Class

Brian_B, Nov 2025
I would recommend this whether you love to cook or just want to eat some great food. Our teachers were great and made sure everyone got the chance to help prepare the food, but also made sure nobody felt pressured to do something they weren't comfortable with. They mixed in some nice drinks during the cooking and the food came out great. Would highly recommend.

Great evening of cooking and conversation, ending in a delicious meal. David, the chef instructor, was knowledgeable and great at instructing everyone in the group of 12 or so to play a role. We ended with soup, side dish, paella, and a delicious light dessert--plus sangria, of course.
