The whale watching was fine but the description on Viator was not complete. We didn’t know we were going to be the only 2 people on the boat that were “observers” instead of snorkelers. We were also told to get there 15 minutes after everyone else so we missed a lot of the intro being given. After the fact, I went onto the actual tour operators website and found the full description. I’m not sure we would’ve taken this tour if we had known how it was set up. Each boat takes eight passengers and only six can go in the water. It just changed the whole vibe of the trip for us. I’m also not sure that we would’ve sat so long in certain places if the snorkels weren’t going in the water.
Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Erlebnis und tatsächlich das Glück, zwei Wale zu sehen! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Ausflug noch angenehmer gemacht hat.
Das einzige Problem war der Buchungsvorgang. Bei der Buchung gab es offenbar zwei Möglichkeiten: entweder auf dem Boot zu bleiben und die Wale zu beobachten oder mit den Walen zu schwimmen. Leider konnte ich beim Buchen aus irgendeinem Grund nicht zwischen diesen beiden Optionen wählen. Das war etwas verwirrend. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten bei der Buchung klar erklärt würden und man die gewünschte Option direkt auswählen könnte.
Insgesamt war es ein tolles Erlebnis, und die zwei Wale zu sehen, war definitiv ein Höhepunkt unserer Reise. Ich kann den Ausflug empfehlen, hoffe aber, dass der Buchungsvorgang künftig verbessert wird, damit die verfügbaren Optionen für alle Reisenden klar ersichtlich sind.
