Missed the bus but Jan saved the day.
We had problem getting off the ship, they rang and everyone else was on bus. They didnt wait but Jan part of the company stayed and drove us to meet the tour. She gave us information on way to meet up with the bus. She was amazing, went above expectation. After meeting up with the tour guide Terry, was taken to some great places, really enjoyed all the information, the lovely scrolls and coffee at garden cafe, the walk near waterfall was lovely and the tasting of kiwi juice, kiwi fruit and manuka honey. Really a lovely day, great tour.

Hobbiton Movie Set Tour 10-26-2026
The hills can present a challenge and the guide needs a loudspeaker for large groups. The scenery was fabulous as was the flora. I loved the shire and the hobbit house interior was so inviting. It would be nice if there were a few more benches along the steeper portion of the walk.

Highly Recommended - Very Organised
Meeting us off the cruise was so easy, they were right at the end of the pier waiting for us with a list of names so we could make sure we were approaching the right tour guide. Great driver/guide who gave us lots of info about the local area and had time for any questions. Great tour - very organised.

A great way to learn more about Māori culture
We knew very little about the Maori people and their history and culture, so this trip provided us with a great introduction, along with the chance to see some of the natural wonders also on the property. The cafe on site offered up some great baked treats (savory pies and apple tarts) at very reasonable prices. Our guide Robert was very friendly and informative (and a good driver, too) and the small group we were with made travel quite easy, so I’d recommend this trip for anyone visiting the area. The stop at the kiwifruit farm was a nice addition as well…

Excellent tour and exceptional
Fabulous tour and exceptional customer service. I made a grave mistake and showed up 45 minutes late (thinking I was 15 minutes early). Our tour had to leave without us - understandably! But Zealandiier tour operators did their best and got us on a different tour that met up with our original one and we were able to join it. Everything we saw was superb. The Māori performance was excellent- interesting and informative, and we are returning home knowing far more about kiwis than the average person. Our tour guide Jan was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Well
Done. I have no reservations about highly recommending this tour and this operator. Thank you!

Terrific guide
The guide did a great job of continuing with interesting information about the area the whole ride there. It was nice that they don’t take a huge group at one time. The geothermal area was fascinating. The Māori tribal show was wonderful! We had a nice lunch included. Would recommend this tour!

Tauranga: 5 star tour and guide
We enjoyed a fabulous day with Robert who picked us up from the Cruise port. Very convenient and stress-free! He took his time to show us all the sights around Tauranga before starting us on the drive to the geothermal Valley. As a retired school, principal, Robert made the hike through the Geothermal Valley most interesting with knowledgeable insights about the region’s geological features, flora, and birds. He made many stops to allow us to take photographs of the landscape. The boat ride on the lake was the cherry on the day’s tour: the captain took us right up to the boiling furmoroles. We had great pictures!

Great tour
This was a great excursion to see sights in the area. I'm sure our guide Richie made this even better, he was full of interesting information about the area and gave us enough time to enjoy the various stops. Loved the tree walk, glowworms, the stops at the thermal pools and lake and of course the kiwi farm.

WOWSA - A must do!
WOW! Just WOW. This was an amazing experience. Pablo, our guide, did a great job of instructing, communicating, and keeping us safe throughout. Like everyone else says, exhilarating and definitely bucket list worthy. A shout out to all staff here as each was friendly and they worked super well together as a team.

Lakes, forests, waterfalls and Māori legends.
An excellent guide with good knowledge of culture and geography. We were given a choice of activities including visiting lakes, waterfalls, high level walking in Redwood forests and thermal foot baths, plus coffee and bakery. Erin provided snacks and an informative commentary. The history she shared enhanced our tour. A good level of walking, it was most enjoyable in a very comfortable vehicle.

Mt Maunganui to Rotorua - mud glorious mud!
We walked off the ship and along to the area where tours are gathered. A little market was happening nearby. Gorgeous area.
Take a photo of your tour company name so you can recognize them
Great trip to Hells gate. Paul was a great guide. Thanks for the toilet stop.
Fascinating to see the thermal spas. Plenty of time to see it all.

Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience on our Hobbiton tour, thanks to Terrie and Toby!
Terrie was an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guide who made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped on board. He was a safe and smooth driver, kept us entertained with funny jokes, and taught us so much about New Zealand, Matamata, and even local fruits along the way. He was also very accommodating with our last-minute requests for coffee stops and photo opportunities.
On the booking side, Toby was fantastic. When only five Hobbiton tickets were left but our group had six people, he was incredibly diligent and helped us secure the last ticket at a similar time slot, making the trip possible for us.
