Our guide was great. He was a local college student who was very knowledgeable. He answered questions about a wide variety of Montreal culture and Jewish history. The sites were really interesting to hear about, although many are now different but you can see interesting remnants.

Great experience to learn about the Jewish people in Montreal and hear about the history and what happened here in Montreal.

Lovely guide did a wonderful job of sharing the history she is gently passionate about. The museum is unlike any Jewish museum I have ever toured as it is a stopped-in-time notions store for the former garment district. The walking tour inspires resilience, social justice and community.

I had a wonderful time during the visit. Learned a lot and our guide was both really knowledgeable and kind.

A lot of walking, of course, and not a lot left of the original buildings or neighborhood, which is sad. But it was interesting.

Pauline is an excellent guide. She gave a clear and lively history through this walking tour, making the life of Jews in this neighborhood of Montreal come alive. We wish her the best in her studies.

Fun, informative, paced well. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, personable, organized and flexible. We thought 20 would be too big but there was plenty of time to discuss topics and ask questions as needed.

If you like Jewish history and how it is interwoven with the city you are visiting, then hop on board for a pleasant learning experience. Your tour guide, Shannon, has a great sense of the city's Yiddish history and gives her group a picture of it without overwhelming you with too much. The tour is two hours, but it is not a long two hours. Shannon paces things out nicely and there is a short break in the middle to rest yourself. Most of the sights have moved to the other side of town, but Shannon still develops a good picture of what once was.

Great introduction to immigration of Eastern European Jews to Montreal and the realities and contributions they made in the community. Our tour guide Pauline was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and also willing to let us know when she didn't have a definitive answer to a question asked.

The tour guide did not show up. I contacted them when I was at the meeting point and they did not show up and they never responded. It’s been over a day now and they still have not responded to me.

Shannon was a phenomenal tour guide. She was so knowledgeable about the subject and the neighborhood. She brought to life how challenging life had to be for Jews here in Montréal during the early 20th Century. This was one of the best tours our family has ever taken and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Fantastic experience!
