Nothing short of perfect. My best friend and I have grown up riding our entire lives & we’re impressed with the care of these horses unlike many tours around. The view was incredible, th people were incredible. Diego was so kind & trusting of us. We were six people traveling from FL & we’re honestly so happy.

The horses are incredible and to be able to ride them on the beach during a sunset was truly an amazing experience. Diego is the man! He guided us through and treated us to good conversation and ice cold refreshment at the beach bar and we got served while on horse back. So cool. The horses are super healthy and well cared for and well trained.
Diego also really knows how to get those perfect photos and videos. This experience is a must for anyone who wants to feel the beauty and joy that life has to offer here in Costa Rica.

We’ve gone horseback riding before plenty of times but not like this. It was super freeing and incredible. The host was lighthearted and humorous. The horses were really nice and trained. The horses will take you on a nice trail, and if youre more comfortable on a horse, if you tell your horse to take off they will, which was the best part of the ride for me personally. But if you dont want to gallop, the horses will take you on a relaxing ride. The beach was beautiful and had some beach chairs available and it was super empty which was great! We even had a little white dog accompanying us while there! Amazing vibes!

I was able to pay with my credut card where some ecperience I've had had to be cash. When I got to the event I didn't even need to show my ticket. Whuch told me the event planner was trusted.

Amazing experience. We ended up being just the two of us on the tour. The horses were well cared for. Gustavo was excellent and informative. We spend an hour and a half riding the horses on the beach and watching the sunset. The guide took lots of amazing pictures for us.

Excellent beach ride. The horses were well cared for and they matched the horses to the riders riding level. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. This is my second ride with these folks - 4 years apart. This time I brought more family . We were 75, 30 and 12 and everyone had a good time. I have been on other horseback rides in Costa Rica but this was the best!

We had booked the activity. We contacted them an hour before with no response. We tried several contacts provided by them on Viator, without success. after an hour of waiting on site ( 1 hour driving from Manuel Antonio), locals people tried to call them without success. We found an old phone on their website and someone responded that the activity is canceled. We drove 2 hours + 1 hour waiting, we lost 3 hours in total for their non-communication. We asked for a refund but there were no responses. disgusting and unacceptable I want to be refunded and no longer go through Viator to book activities... our day was ruined...

Rancho Sol Horses provided us with an amazing experience horseback riding on the beach at sunset. Being there in March in low season, we had the beach basically all to ourselves. Gustavo our guide was very kind and friendly and his horses were so well behaved the ride was carefree and relaxing to enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunset. For people staying in Quepos, it is a bit of a drive (40 min) but soooo worth it! The drive back at night (around 7pm) was fine and safe.

I had a great experience horseback riding on the beach! I was happy we went to a beach that had very few people. The horse was so kind and trained well. I felt comfortable riding him. Everything was great! I gave this four stars because of the transportation cost. Be sure to ask about this BEFORE booking. I was charged $80 for transportation. While it was a good distance away from Manual Antonio, where I was staying, I don’t think that was a reasonable amount to be charged for one person. Especially given that I caught a shuttle from the airport in San Jose to my hotel in Manual Antonio, which was 3 hours away, for $60. Nonetheless, the experience itself was great and I would recommend it. Just take care of your transportation ahead of time or own your own.

What a lovely experience! Calm chilled horses, and the sunset was stunning ! Found it hard to find , heads up go straight to Alma hotel and the horses are just down the side of it down a little dirt track . The guide was really good , took some amazing videos and pictures for us

Amazing experience from the moment of booking. I messaged the tour operator who kindly booked a taxi to collect us and return us to our hotel for a fixed price. The experience itself was amazing, lovely horses on a beautiful beach and stunning sunset, complete with a gallop in the sea. Guides were friendly and took lots of pictures for us. It really was a fabulous experience.

I do not remember the Rancher’s name,
But he was very nice gentleman, personable, and intelligent.
My wife and I had a wonderful ride on a beautiful and quiet beach. He took some great pictures with my phone for us.

Riding on the beach, through a stream, the forest and on trails. Awesome sites and fantastic guides. I recommend being picked up at the hotel pelicanos where you can begin or finish with a tasty meal and an unforgettable view.

I didn't pay them enough. There was a moment on the Beach. Desolate. No houses. No boats. Far from any crowds. Just us on the horses. For as far as the eye can see. The wind is blowing. I feel the salty sea spray hitting me in the face as it blows inland. And this small flock of 6 scarlet Macaws fly directly overhead. I took a deep breath and savored the moment. It was everything, and much more, as promised in the advertising. Face it, we all want to feel like we get our monies worth, out of any experience. And I'm no different. Diego exceeded that. Right down to the cold Imperial after the ride. I cannot recommend this adventure enough. His brother and he forgiver me but I have forgotten the nice gentleman's name, and this is a family ran business even cater to transportation needs for those of us, like myself, who don't care to drive while on Vacation. They are even quite adept at managing photos or videos while riding. Now quit reading and book them!
Downside: The trip across the Highway can be a bit exhilarating. I would have preferred to be mount up on the other side of that busy road. But, Diego did get us all across very safely.

Wonderful experience, Diego was very knowledgeable. Well trained horses for those with (20yrs)or without experience (0experience). Great meal at the end of a great ride in the forest and on the beach. Exceeded all expectations for a great price! Wish there was more space to write more great things!

Being from Australia, we chose this tour initially for the opportunity to ride along a Costa Rican beach and take in the unique scenery. What we got was so much more. Of course there was the beautiful surroundings (the beach is spectacular and near deserted) and the horses were well cared for. But we had three kids in tow, aged 14, 8 and 5 and what really made this tour exceptional was Diego. Despite the fact that none of us were experienced riders, Diego was patient, flexible and always made us feel at ease. He took the time to develop a rapport with my girls and help them learn how to ride, which turned the day into something truly memorable for both them and us. The lunch at the end was a typical Costa Rican lunch in gorgeous surroundings overlooking the beach and was the icing on the cake. We got a lot of fantastic photos and footage during the ride, which are made even better by the very special memories attached to them. Would highly recommend this tour to anybody.

Diego was amazing!! The horses were great! I'm an experienced rider and I brought along 3 inexperienced riders and we all were matched with horses that were a good fit for us and we all were very satisfied with the ride. We got a good lesson in the beginning to help the newbies feel comfortable -- and we were all offered safety lessons and helmets. And then on the ride we were allowed to trot if we desired, and even canter! The view was spectacular. The beach was clean, quiet and wide, so plenty of room for all of us to have space. Then we ended at lunch that was DELICIOUS! I've been on a lot of horseback riding tours and this was THE BEST!! Relaxed, safe, and FUN! Muchas gracias Diego!!

My wife and I did this activity during our honeymoon. Diego was a fantastic guide and we learned so much from him. Everything about this tour was perfect and we even have great pictures and videos taken by Diego! Lunch was great and pickup was very convenient. We would do this again in a heartbeat!

We had the private tour scheduled for Thursday. Diego emailed to change the tour to Friday because of rain. We understood the change because of the weather, but we did not receive the tour my wife and I booked for our honeymoon. Instead we were in a small group of 6. The group was fun, however, that is not what we paid for. We could have saved a lot more money by just booking a group tour with the same trip.
