the sound and light show was discontinued several weeks before I arrived, but I was not notified until the day before. I stayed an extra day in Cairo just to do this, spent $100's of dollars on hotel and meals that I could have avoided if I knew sooner.

The suspension of the Sound & Light Show was a decision made by the local authorities only one day before the scheduled show. Unfortunately, this information was officially confirmed to us at a very late stage, which is why we were only able to notify you shortly before your visit. We truly regret the impact this had on your travel plans and the additional expenses you incurred.
