Hicham was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. It’s obvious he has a passion for what he does. He’s extremely knowledgeable (he grew up in the medina) and went out of his way to make our experience incredible.
Wear sturdy sandals or (preferably) closed toed shoes as some areas we walked through were a little bit wet or with uneven steps. The tour lasted around 5 hours total. Thanks Hicham for such an amazing experience!

We had a great experience exploring Fez with Alid. He guided us through the Medina, explained the local culture, showed us the tannery, and introduced us to some delicious local foods. He was flexible and made the day feel personal rather than like a standard tour. One of the things that stood out most was how friendly and genuine he was. We even got to see his house, which made the experience feel very authentic. He speaks excellent English and seems to know everyone in the area. If you want a local experience with someone who truly cares, we would definitely recommend Alid.

It is worth to have the private tour because the guide explained the details of the Medina in terms of history and everyday life. Aldil the guide was the perfect companion throughout the Medina as he knows every corner of the place.

We had a fantastic private tour of the Medina with Hicham. He is a local who spoke excellent English and taught us so much about life in Fez, including the history, culture, food and artisans who we saw at work. We also enjoyed a couple of great coffees along the way. Communication throughout the booking process was excellent and we highly recommend Hicham and the tour.

Our party of 3 did a private guided tour of the Fes Medina. Our guide, Hicham, was born and raised in the Medina and was a true expert of every aspect of the area.
We had requested to see a couple places that weren’t on the standard itinerary and he gladly accommodated. He taught us so much about the culture, the country, and the Medina, in a way that was interesting and sometimes entertaining. It was never boring where your eyes glaze over like some tours. Topics covered everything from how the current king of Morocco is making sweeping changes to the country and is loved by the people, to the smallest details about the 2 door knockers on every door.
In addition to the standard parts of the medina that everyone reads about, we also saw off-the-beaten-path things like the community ovens where the locals bring their bread to be baked, tasted fava bean soup at one of his friends stalls, and saw a man who enters and exits his shop via a rope swing.
We had a hearty, delicious lunch at a small local mom and pop restaurant where we got to go in the kitchen and taste different tagines and pick the one we wanted.
We went to some shops but there was no pressure to buy anything. We were interested in buying a hammered copper pan and he helped us find a good shop and with a good price.
As we walked through the medina, nearly everyone reached out and said “hey Hicham, how are you?” and “he’s the best” with a big smile. Like the people of the medina, we too felt like friends at the end of our tour. We felt that he truly cared about our experience, and we will never forget everything we learned on our wonderful day in the medina.

Smooth start and easy pickup. The guide Adil walked us through the old medina, including leather tannery, bakeries and local shops. The tour took 3.5hours. Great logistics and general info, but no WOW factor. Storytelling and cool facts were absent. The workshops and artisan were the same of all other tours while we though we were going to see hidden gems.

Fantastic! Great tour. Great guide. Great service. Exceptional value. Hicham could not have been a better guide. Born and raised in the medina Fez, educated and traveled abroad, now back at home. Very conscientious about preserving the nature, customs, culture, and livelihood of his city. Very informative and we enjoyed every minute. Very easy back and forth with questions and comments. Let me add; Imad the manager of this tour company is beyond compare. His pre-tour concern and care for our wellbeing was greatly appreciated. I won't go into details, but he helped us avoid what I think was a scam food tour. Look no further as you're not going to find a better tour of this type.

Our guide & the tour organizer were great! They arranged a car to pick us up at the airport, keep our bags with him, and at the end take us to the train station (big relief as we were only stopping in Fez long enough for this tour). Our guide Yasin was an expert at navigating the Medina! We walked so far through the maze, there is no way we would have wanted to do it ourselves (way bigger than Marrakech)! We would definitely not known how to get around nor what we were seeing. The tannery was our favorite part! The other stops were good as well (note that there are 2 sites you have to pay for separately, but they were worth it). Highly recommend!

Adil was an incredible guide and made our experience in the Medina truly unforgettable. As a local, he shared so much history, culture, and insight about the area, and he seemed to know the answer to every question we asked. He was patient, flexible, and let us explore at our own pace, especially when we wanted to move quickly through certain stops.
One of the highlights of the day was when he brought us to a small, traditional family restaurant where we had the best tajines of our entire trip in Morocco. We even happened to run into his family while walking through the Medina and got to say hello, which made the experience feel even more personal and authentic.
Adil made our day incredibly special, and we would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

We had the pleasure of touring Fez with Adil, and it was a wonderful experience. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, curious, and cooperative throughout the tour. He made sure we visited great spots and guided us to authentic shops for oils, clothes, and the tannery.

Unfortunately, this tour did not offer good value for the price. Our guide was often on the phone and not fully engaged, which made the experience feel inattentive.
We had hoped to learn more about the medina’s history, culture, and key landmarks, but very little information was provided. Instead, a large portion of the tour was spent at a cooperative shop selling argan and cactus oils, with a clear emphasis on shopping rather than exploration.
Overall, we felt our time could have been used much more effectively. If you’re looking for an informative and immersive tour, this may not be the best choice.

You were staying at hotel Mariott which is outside of fez medina and probably you have no idea of how much the driver with Mercedes Vito we use charged us ( 25 USD ) how come it not worth the money . We will take your words in considerations and thank you for bringing this matter to me also will let the guide know about the phone .Adil has been always one of the best in the team and i trust him to be with my clients thanks again and hopefully next time if you ever make it to fez and rebook with us you will be satisfied .

We received an incredible tour of vibrant and colourful medina. The guide Mahhomed was amazing, he explained a history and told interesting stories about the place and also showed some hidden gems, where tourists usually don’t even go. No wonder, since he was born and raised inside this incredible and yet mysterious place, so you cannot find a better guide! Highly recommend!

Exploring the ancient heart of Fes was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and this private tour of the old medina exceeded every expectation.
The visit to the world famous Chouara Tannery was unforgettable. Seeing the centuries old process up close, with its vibrant colors and traditional methods, gave us a deep appreciation for the artisans who have preserved this craft for generations. Along the way, we explored a variety of artisan shops, each offering a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the medina.
What truly made this experience special, however, was our guide, Yassine. A true local and an exceptional human being, he brought the medina to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. It genuinely felt like he knew everyone, and everywhere we went, we were welcomed with warmth and familiarity. One of the most memorable parts of the day was meeting his father and brother along the route, which added such a personal and authentic touch to the experience.
Spending the day with Yassine felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a friend. His kindness, knowledge, and genuine pride in his city made this an experience we will never forget. If you’re visiting Fes, this is an absolute must. We truly scored with Yassine!

This was wonderful! We had Adil as our guide, and he shared the history of Fes and walked us by many of the historical and religious sites in the old medina. He customized the tour based on what we'd already seen in other cities, and what we were shopping for. Very knowledgeable, and great English! The streets are windy and confusing, so it was very helpful and efficient to have a guide. He showed us lots of unique spots in the city too - Rainbow street, a small tea shop (the best tea we've had all trip), and the best places to shop. Would recommend!
