- Water Activities: Kayaks and snorkeling gear are subject to availability. Water activities may be restricted by local authorities due to wind, lightning, or other unsafe weather conditions.
- Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages are available only to guests 18 years and older. Please drink responsibly and enjoy the experience in moderation.
- What to Bring: Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat and extra cash for optional activities, massages, rentals, gratuities or other personal purchases.
- Rain or Shine: This tour operates rain or shine. Please check the forecast and dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
- Late Arrivals / No-Shows: Guests who arrive late or fail to show up for their scheduled activity are not eligible for a refund.
- Swimming: Guests using kayaks or snorkeling equipment should know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water. Children participating in water activities must be supervised by an adult.
- Accessibility: Transportation vehicles can accommodate foldable/collapsible wheelchairs only. Non-folding wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. Beach access and conditions may make some areas difficult to navigate for guests with limited mobility.

The tour company was excellent. They met all of our needs. The food and drinks were good. The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because of the beach peddlers constantly coming up to you trying to sell you things. Also, if white sand, clear water and beautiful views are your thing, do NOT book this excursion. There is not much of a beach, no view and the water was not clear or pretty. I realize this is not the tour company's fault but we were still disappointed.

We're sorry the beach was not what you were hoping for. The coast in Costa Maya changes with the season and the weather, and seaweed or wind can affect how clear the water looks on a given day. In general, it is a calm beach with the classic transparent blue color that the Mexican Caribbean is known for, and we're sorry your visit didn't show it at its best.
The beach is also public, so local vendors are generally offering their products along the shore, and we're sorry if that felt bothersome during your day. Nice relaxing day at the beach. Food and drinks were delicious! This was my 4th time there. You do get vendors, but they are respectful when you politely decline and move on.

This was an exceptional experience Private taxi to a pristine beach with very comfortable lounge chairs and thatched umbrella provided great shade- or plenty of room to be in the sun. Was not crowded. Awesome service delicious food and drinks. We even paid for a massage on the beach and the therapists were very professional and talented. The beach had soft raked sand that was easy to walk on and water had very soft sand. Convenient bathrooms and super cool sink to wash hands - made from shells. This was our best beach day on the whole cruise.

Not very accommodating for handicap people. Vacationing with my brother who is wheelchair bound, the almost dropped him lifting him in to the van. No response on the email that I sent. They ruined out port day and did not respond.

We would like to clarify what we shared before your tour. As soon as we saw the wheelchair request in your booking, we wrote to explain which type of wheelchair we can accommodate, so the day would be comfortable and stress-free for you: the excursion involves walking short distances, our vehicles can only take folding wheelchairs, and Mahahual is a small fishing town without specialized accessible transportation. You confirmed that your brother could walk short distances and that you would bring a folding wheelchair.
When he arrived in a specialized wheelchair, we offered you a full refund as a gesture of goodwill, because we could not guarantee his safety and comfort in our vehicle or at the beach facilities. You decided not to take it so you could join the tour, and we are sorry the transfer turned out to be stressful for your family. Our only goal was to find the safest option for him.
We would be glad to share more accessibility details whenever you plan your next trip to the Mexican Caribbean.

Taxi there good, time there great! Beach was cleared of seaweed. Food enjoyable. Frustrating part was the taxi back. Be sure to ask if you included taxi that you do not have to pay taxi driver again when dropped off at the port. Most frustrating thing is to argue with someone who may not share same morals/values of honesty. Not sure where the confusion lies but ask when the beach guy when he is there getting you into the taxi to return to port whether it’s included. That way him, the driver and you are in agreement. Had to pay another $5 per person at port. Ugh!

Nohoch Kay Beach Club was where we were taken from the Viator meeting point outside of the expansive port area. It’s a long walk from the pier folks. We found our Viator representative who placed us in a taxi after a little chaos, but off we went on a careening, harrowing ride where the driver wanted to be airborne at every speed bump. But we arrived in one piece, only to have our “included” transport become a demanded $5 per person!!!! Not happy!!!
We were at the Beach Club at at first glance it looked disappointing. We were the only guests there at the time and we had a bad feeling. It seems desolate and untended with piles of seaweed at the waters edge. Did we make a mistake?
Mario then came out to greet us and couldn’t have been nicer. He showed us to our seats under our own personalized palapa, pointed out the facilities which were clean and well maintained and got us our money back from the transportation while a team of folks cleaned up the seaweed and suddenly, we felt very at home!!! Yorbean replaced Mario and saw to our every need….what we thought was a mistake became one of the highlights of our cruise!!! The food and drinks were great and were truly “all inclusive” as was the much less dramatic ride back to the port!!
All in all a great day….4 stars out of 5 !!

Transportation is good, but you will have to walk put of the port to meet your ride, but not that much further than other transportation. The beach club/restaurant provided excellent service. First row chairs with cover. Drinks and food were plenty. Massage option on the beach good value. There are alot of wandering locals selling trinkets which can be slightly bothersome because of the number of them. Beach is shallow and not great for swimming, but still provides a nice view.

Had a great time. Wish we got off the ship early, if cruising I would highly recommend getting off as early as possible.
The beach was clean and the staff was fun. I enjoyed many Mexican holy water shots lol I would go back in the future.
There were a lot of vendors that came by and a no thank you sent them away. Massages are available but are priced the same as US. My partner and I enjoyed the beach chairs and the water was nice. The water is very shallow but nice to just chill in. You need to bring your own towels.

We were skeptical traveling bumpy roads to a sketchy looking beach club, but the friendly staff made us feel welcome and the shaded beach hut was comfortable and very convenient - just steps from the entrance. Service and drinks were exceptional and the food more than sufficient. The swimming area would be disappointing if that were our focus. But it was a relaxing day overall and only a 12 minute drive from the cruise port. If you have walking difficulties it takes a good 20 minutes to walk through the port village to get to the taxi area, then another 5 minutes to a parking area outside the gates. So a walker might be appropriate.

And easy to find. We were met and placed in a taxi to a clean and lovely beach. The drinks and food were excellent and plentiful. The Palapa and chairs were comfortable. A wonderful day!!

There were 13 of us coming off a cruise ship. Aside from trying to find tge meeting place, the entire excursion was absolutely wonderful!! The service was awesome. Food and drinks were fantastic. Massages on the beach, vendors to do some shopping, kayaks, and a reef close by!! Everyone had a great time! We asked to be returned to the port in 30 minutes and exactly 30 minutes later our van arrived! Would HIGHLY recommend! Also, the menu of food was so big. We ordered sample platters and got a lot of food!!! A beautiful display of "a lil bit of everything"! And it was all delicious!

We opted for our own transportation, which was much cheaper than the all-inclusive package with driver that is offered. The taxi ride was $10 to and from the port. The experience overall was good just not what I was expecting for the price. This is definitely a beach break and not a resort type experience. It is a small restaurant and bar, which gave you access across the street to the beach. You do have your own private chairs and umbrella that are reserved and waiting for you which was nice. We couldn’t really enjoy the water because it was not very clear and not very deep. We went out as far as we could, and never made it past chest deep, so we weren’t able to really snorkel or swim because of the water. The food, drinks and Service was on point. They had a very strong drink drinks. There are vendors coming up to you, trying to sell you things but a simple no sends them on their way. They do offer massages on site for an extra fee which I did take advantage of since we couldn’t really enjoy the water. There are several small shops and street vendors located on the street that separates the bar and restaurant from the beach. Our server walked us down and showed us the ones that were reputable to buy from. Our server also called for us a taxi when we were ready to go, which took less than five minutes to get. Overall, this experience was good just not what I expected especially for the price.

Costa Maya’s coastline is naturally shallow and calm because it sits in front of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest reef system in the world. This reef protects the shore from strong waves, which is why the water is usually peaceful and easy to walk into, although it also means depth and visibility can vary from day to day.

When we arrived we were all surprised and disappointed. It was a small area and the photos on Viator were misleading.This included unlimited drinks and food. The part of beach where we were placed was small. There were 7 of us and our lounge chairs were practically on top of each other.. we were under palapas.There were damaged palapas down next to us and there was hammering and saw cutting near us. It was $45 to go out snorkeling. When we were picked up for our return trip we were crammed into a small taxi and person did not speak English.
Would we go back here again…… no.

We had a wonderful time! Gabriel and Ruth were wonderful hosts, easy to find, informative during the drive. The beach club was laid back. Miguel and with the help of Mario were very accommodating! Always smiling and just fun! They deserve 5 stars!! The Ceviche is a must!! Pina Coladas were the best!! Beach massage excellent and worth every peso!! My only deterrent but it was for every beach club was walking vendors. They were cordial, but constant, causing me to say No, Gracias, 1000x. But this would impact every beach club.

The beach is dirty and so was the water. Just so so beach. So many vendors walking around selling absolutely everything. Had some dancers on the beach that literally came table to table asking for a tip. The walk to the taxis was a very long walk and the driver tried to con us out of money. They also tried to tell me that we cancelled. So there was about 30 minutes to get them to honor the excursion. We paid for all inclusive which included taxi going to and from the port. The taxis driver tried to get us to pay again. Not very good food.
The food and drinks were just okay.

For clarification, your original reservation with transportation was canceled by you and later rebooked on Viator without transportation. As a result, transportation was not included on the day of the tour, and any taxi service required had to be paid directly. As stated in the tour details and tour confirmation, the meeting point is located immediately outside the cruise port terminal, approximately a 15-minute walk from the ship’s gangway, as the Costa Maya pier and terminal are extended.
Regarding the beach conditions, what you experienced was sargassum, a natural seasonal phenomenon that can affect parts of the Caribbean at certain times of the year. It is not harmful to humans, and our local partners make daily efforts to clean the beach areas, although conditions may vary depending on tides and weather.
Local vendors and cultural performers operate independently in public beach areas, and tipping is always optional.

This was a great excursion, everything was included from beach chairs to drinks to food and plenty of shaded areas. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. My only critique was the water itself was pretty shallow, not exactly the beach I envisioned, more like a calm bay, but overall we had a great time and would recommend.
