The day trip to see the pyramids and the Sphinx in Cairo was excellent overall. The experience was fascinating, and I learnt a lot about the history and significance of these incredible landmarks. The tour itself was enjoyable, informative, and well worth doing.
My only criticism concerns the tour guide’s proactive recommendation that we visit a papyrus shop. We purchased two pieces of papyrus artwork for US$200, only to discover that the same pieces were available in the airport departure lounge for US$50. This represents a significant difference in price and left us feeling that we had been substantially overcharged.
While I appreciate that guides may recommend local shops, I do not believe they should proactively direct tourists to establishments where products are sold at such significantly inflated prices. Tour guides should act in the best interests of their customers and ensure that any shopping recommendations are fair and transparent.
Furthermore, the tour guide tried to get us to hire him directly outside Viatour for a tour of Coptic Cairo at an inflated price of $180USD. I don’t think your tour guides should be doing this as we have a lot more safety and security when bookings are placed through Viatour.
Aside from this disappointing experience, the tour was very good, and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the pyramids and the Sphinx. I would recommend the tour itself, but I would advise future visitors to exercise caution when following shopping recommendations from the guide.
TAKE THIS TOUR YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!! Kyrllos was the best tour guide I have ever had! He was incredibly knowledgeable and had answers to every one of my questions. He was incredibly kind and helpful. The tour gave stunning views of the Pyramids, inside and out. The lunch was fantastic and the camel ride was one not to be forgotten!
Kyrllos taught me so much about ancient Egypt! I felt like I was back in school learning again! How amazing!
We had a fantastic tour experience today with Ayoub and his driver Capoo on our Pyramids of Giza tour. Ayoub was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and informative, and made the whole experience very comfortable and enjoyable. He also took a ton of great photos for us! Overall, a fantastic experience — highly recommend Ayoub!
Very informative with a very knowledgeable guide. We went early when the lines were less so it was easy, fun and no stress. The guide took care of everything so all we did was explore and enjoy.

The guide was absolutely the best. He was most courteous and helpful throughout and answered all questions pleasantly and walked with me to the pyramids and the Sphinx and took my photos. He also help me onto a camel for a ride and then we had lunch. The best experience.
We couldn’t be more happy with this tour. We looked at dozens of options and this one was recommended to us. So glad we went with it.
Our guide Ayoub was amazing. So knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient (with our constant questions and multiple changes to our plan). We chose the all inclusive option and in the end added the Great Pyramid entry ticket (which I will say, I’m glad I did but don’t feel like I would need to do again. Also not for the unfit). Plus we asked our guide if we could possibly take a trip on the Nile in a felucca and Ayoub organised everything without any hesitation. He took about a hundred pictures, all very good quality, he’s obviously done this a lot.
We’ve been to Cairo before but I’m so glad we had a guide this time.
Our driver also deserves special mention too.

Our family had a great time with our guide Ajoub. He was very informative and answered any questions we had. He also allowed us to take our time everywhere we went and never rushed us. Once we were done at the pyramids and sphinx he brought us to a place that he bought his shirt from since my dad said he liked it and wanted a similar one. Then he also asked if we would like to visit a place where they make papyrus paper/paintings and we agreed. We ended up buying a beautiful painting while there and were not rushed. After that we had an amazing buffet style lunch with many different options before arriving back at our hotel. We all had an amazing time and highly recommend Ajoub
Guide Kryllos Eskandar and the driver gave my family and I an amazing experience at the pyramids. Super smooth, no hiccups, and no hassle. Everything included in the description of the tour was as it was, zero surprises! Kryllos was an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist guide and was very passionate about what he does. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions and has social media pages/ books published on Ancient Egypt. If you are having trouble choosing between multiple tours, let this be your sign to choose this one :) It will be an incredible experience I assure you!
Wear a hat and sunscreen and dress in cool clothing. Inside the pyramid is hot and cramped, but well worth it! Our guide, Ayoub, was fantastic!
We had a great experience! Our guide was so kind and patient with us. We loved seeing the pyramids and riding on the camels! We got the opportunity to go to the GEM as well- it was an amazing tour!!!
Mahmoud Khalefa was our guide , we enjoyed our tour with our guide. He was very knowledgeble giving us a lot of information about the pyramids and the history of Egypt. His English was quite good and we manage to learn a lot about ancient Egypt. Great photographer and week!

We had such an amazing time with Ayoub! He showed us all of the Pyramids, the sphinx, tombs, had excellent knowledge about the history behind every aspect, and gave us ample time to take photos. He also took photos and videos of us. He's very easygoing and such a great guide. Would highly recommend!

Ayoub made our visit to the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, our camel ride, and lunch at 9 Pyramids Lounge an unforgettable 5-star experience. He was attentive, informative, and incredibly thoughtful from start to finish.
He reached out the evening before our trip to introduce himself and provide a detailed itinerary for the day, which made everything feel organized and stress-free. His driver, Mina, met us at our hotel on time, and once we arrived at the Giza complex, Ayoub was there ready to welcome us. That’s when the fun truly began!
It was another magical day in Egypt. Ayoub shared great information, made sure we were comfortable, and helped create such a memorable experience. He is also an amazing photographer and captured beautiful moments for us throughout the day. I highly recommend Ayoub to anyone visiting the pyramids!
We had the best time with kyrllos our guide. He was so knowledgeable, we come away knowing so much more about the history of Egypt.

Kyrllos Eskander was fantastic - he is highly knowledgeable in respect of the history of Ancient Egypt and the pyramids specifically. He gave us a detailed account of the history of the pyramids and Spinx, which was insightful and interesting. The tour made our day stress free - as opposed to other day trips in Egypt where we have travelled alone and found it difficult to navigate the Egyptian cultural practices, which being from London, we know little about.
We chose the all inclusive tour, absolutely worth every penny. Our tour guide was Mohamed Elshemei, he was amazing! Great communication before we met for the day. He had a wonderful depth of knowledge about Egyptian history and the pyramids. He took care of every step along the way the entire day, including paying for the public restrooms. Camel ride is a must do! From the moment we met in the hotel lobby till the driver dropped us off, we felt VIP. We had a great rooftop lunch with a view of the pyramids. Overall was wonderful day for our first day in Egypt!!
We had an awesome time with Ayoub! He was very knowledgeable, personable, and kind. The day was very well-arranged. Started with history, then the pyramids, then the Sphinx, lunch, and ended with an awesome ATV ride. Highly recommend touring with Ayoub!

We had an amazing experience visiting the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Great Sphinx of Giza thanks to our fantastic tour guide Mina. He was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, bringing ancient history to life in a clear and engaging way.
He also made everything smooth and stress-free, helping us with great photo spots and avoiding crowds. Highly recommended for an unforgettable experience! And it’s a pleasure to have Mina to be our guide for our first time in Egypt!!
Mahmoud Khalefa is clearly passionate about history and takes the time to teach. He fulfilled all my expectations of the trip and communicated well. For those that prioritize photos, specifically ask for him. He understands how to take photos with good perspectives and always takes a variety. He's definitely one of the best photographers I've had as a guide in all my travels. For reference, I always also hire photographers during my travels so this topic matters to me. I was very surprised that he mastered both skills sets ( historical guide & photographer).
Wonderful experience, everything was good, pick up was on time, communication was excellent, tour was well delivered, Mohamed was exceptional, he and the driver were very good. Wonderful experience overall, ohhh and Mohamed takes the best pictures for you.
Experience in the pyramid was great. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the site and history behind the pyramids. Our car driver was a good driver especially in a city like Giza.
This tour was perfect!! Our tour guide Maged was so cool, made us feel relaxed. Answered all our questions, knew all the best places for photos. We learned so much with him. He had a lot of patience, spend a lot of time with us. He was in a good mood and so were we. I would reccoment a tour with him to everybody
You need to have a lot of time to take it in. A minimum of 4 hours is required. Wish i knew this, so would have picked an earlier time. Didn't know the complex shuts down at 4. 30/5
