Top Yarra Valley Day Trips

Visit the wineries in the Yarra Valley without having to drive yourself on this hop-on hop-off bus service from Melbourne. The valley is rich in wineries, and it’s up to you to choose which ones to visit—up to four—without having to worry about driving. Have as many tastings as you want (at your own expense), knowing you have a driver to take you to the next one, and to get you back to Melbourne safely. Note: buses loop around every hour and some venues might require bookings.

Journey beyond Melbourne to experience the best of the Yarra Valley on this full-day, small-group tour. Sample local wines—without needing to designate a driver—and taste cheese at a boutique dairy. Sweeten the experience with a visit to a chocolaterie, and even head out on a kangaroo-spotting bushwalk.

Tasting your way around the Yarra Valley means driving between wineries and producers spread across the region, the designated driver missing out. Ride out from Melbourne with the route and transport handled, stopping at family-run wineries, a dairy, a distillery, and a chocolate maker along the way. Sample wine, cheese, gin, and chocolate as you go, with a wood-fired pizza lunch built into the day.

Drive the Yarra Valley yourself, with a GPS audio guide that plays automatically as you go. Your booking unlocks the whole region in the free Wine Trails app: pick your date and starting point — Healesville, Coldstream, Yarra Glen, Seville, or straight out of Melbourne — choose the cellar doors you want, and the app builds your personal route with turn-by-turn narration. 85 stories cover 63 cellar doors and the people behind them: as you pass Yering Station you'll hear how the Ryrie brothers planted Victoria's first vines on this riverbank in 1838, and how Paul de Castella later bought the run and made it famous, taking a grand prix at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle. No group, no schedule, no guide — pause for a long lunch in Healesville, replay anything, and the audio keeps working when the signal drops through the Upper Yarra. You'll need a car and a designated driver; tastings are booked and paid directly with the wineries.

Gourmet winery lunch experience is included in your wine tour + a glass of wine of your choice from this Winery Wine Tasting. Across your day you'll enjoy three Winery Estate Wine Tastings, Lunch, a glass of wine and a visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamy. Start to end — this will be a day trip to remember. Smaller tour groups, gifts you an enjoyable day. A guided tour with history of the Yarra Valley also provided. Return coach service from Richmond, Victoria, (10 mins out-side Melbourne City) ensures you can enjoy your wine tasting experience. After experiencing wine tours around the world, I'm passionate about creating memorable moments and bringing the experience to you.
