Korean alcohol is a lot more than just a green bottle of soju, which is diluted ethanol with artificial sweetener. Broadly, Korean alcohols are divided into Tak-ju (unfiltered rice wine), Cheong-ju (filtered clear rice wine) and So-ju (distilled spirit). Here, we will focus on our specialty, soju, but we can also taste other types too. Samhae soju was a beloved choice of spirit among the noble class of Joseon dynasty(1392~1894). This luxurious alcohol had caused cult following, but the making was so resource(rice)-heavy that production had to stop during famines. The current master, Hyeonjong Kim had learned and practiced for more than 10 years under master Taeksang Kim who had inherited and kept the recipe in the family. Sadly, master Taeksang Kim passed away in 2021. We will have a privilege to taste the history. *For private groups, please make a private group reservation or message me. In this class, our focus is on cooking, plating, and enjoying a full Korean meal — the way it's truly meant to be shared. You'll cook in a calm, well-equipped kitchen inspired by traditional Hanok architecture. Every guest prepares their own dishes using seasonal vegetables and fermented pastes like doenjang and gochujang, some of which are brought directly from the chef’s hometown. The menu is thoughtfully designed to cover a balanced, beautiful table setting — from banchan to soup and main dish — all made by you. Rather than spending time outside, we give that time to real cooking and the joy of creating something by hand. We don’t run commercial market tours, but if you're curious, we're happy to share a few trusted, local markets that offer a more authentic experience. This is not a food tour. It’s a genuine Korean cooking journey.

Escape Seoul for the day without having to spend hours traveling with a private hiking tour of Bukhansan National Park. The tour is designed with mountain climbing enthusiasts in mind, and your guide will help ensure your safety throughout the tour. Unlike group tours, your guide can tailor the route according to your fitness level and preferences.

* To enhance your experience, please inform us of your food and wine preferences, as well as any allergies, before the tour date. The menu typically features Korean-style meat dishes. Korean cuisine offers a diverse array of flavors and textures, making it surprisingly versatile when paired with wine. While traditionally associated with rice-based spirits like soju and makgeolli, the complexity of Korean dishes can complement various wine styles. Light-bodied whites like Riesling or Pinot Grigio pair well with spicy and tangy dishes like kimchi or Korean BBQ, while medium-bodied reds such as Pinot Noir or Gamay can complement heartier dishes like bulgogi or galbi. Ultimately, experimentation is key, but the contrast and balance between Korean flavors and wine profiles can create delightful culinary experiences.

Rather than simply feasting on Korean food in Seoul, learn the culinary secrets of Korean cuisine during a cooking class. Prepare two traditional dishes under the guidance of professional chefs at a cooking school located in the heart of Seoul, discovering things you're unlikely to without the insight of a local foodie.
