I was fortunate to have...
I was fortunate to have Jono as the guide for this tour. He really seemed to care about having us get the most for our money. He was very well organized and made time to look for koalas and kangaroos. The trip was amazing with incredible breath-taking views.

Great experience
Great experience, great guide, don't miss it. You avoid the crowds. The group is 12 people. The program is tight. Places to stop for rest and food are well selected. Last but not least, during the trip, in addition to the detailed stories of the guide, well-chosen music is also played.

Beautiful scenery in this Great Ocean Road trip
The views from the Great Ocean Road are spectacular, in particular the Twelve Apostles and the Loch Ard Gorge. We walked through a rainforest, saw koalas, kangaroos and other wildlife along the road. Although a long trip, the stops made it manageable. We enjoy this tour very much and recommend it. Our tour guide/driver, Bill, was very friendly and gave us a lot of valuable information and history background about Melbourne too. Thanks!

A great outing made even better with our great guide
Had a great day out with our Driver and Guide, Fiona. Expert and safe driver who showed a true enthusiasm to give information, ensure we all had a great time, she was accessible, personable, informative, and truly wanted us all to enjoy ourselves as much as possible. She was a delight to spend time with, and I would recommend her to anyone. We had a great time at the koala reserve and at thepenguin parade, despite a brief downpour of rain. Everything went great and her ability to get us all back to our best drop- off in rainy weather was very much appreciated. My photos do not include any of the penguin parade as photos are not allowed in order to observe the penguins privacy and natural behavior

Must do!
This was a long day but well-planned. There were several stops to break up the trip. Out guide Robbo (who was also the driver) was great. He gave us good, interesting info. He kept all 22 of us on time. I liked that we had lunch and dinner options and were on our own for that. The sites especially the 12 Apostles is well worth the long day. We also saw wild koalas and kangaroos.

Good tour of multiple highlights outside of Melbourne
Jacqui was a fantastic guide/driver. We booked this tour as it was one of the only ones that incorporated the Moonlight Sanctuary with the Penguin Parade + a couple additional stops in between.
The vehicle was comfortable and had WiFi throughout the ride.
I wish the tour company would have highlighted the very LIMITED food options to pack ahead accordingly. Outside of the slim options - especially if you have an allergy - at the zoo and penguin visitor center, there were no other way to eat on the long trip. Not a fault of the tour; but could have been communicated ahead of time.

Amazing Wildlife!
What a fun day exploring and getting up close and personal with many of the exotic Australian Animals! Our tour guide Aleks was the best! She gave us a lot of history about the different areas we visited that day and included some fun stories. We never felt rushed and she made our day very enjoyable. She gave us some good info on where to stand or walk to see different animals…she also made sure that our bus was visible and easy to find at each stop—loved her twinkling lights on the bus at night so we could find it easy too— very much appreciated! I really enjoyed our time at the moonlit sanctuary and feeding the kangaroos and wallabies. The informational show the staff puts on was very interesting too. We enjoyed seeing the beach swim boxes and beaches. The cliff area was interesting where the penguins also live, & she showed us some wild kangaroos too, but my favorite excursion was the penguin parade on Phillips Island! Aleks told us what was the best scenario so we had time to get dinner, shop, and see the penguins come out of the ocean. She also told us to walk over to one side on way out to hear and possibly see the penguins in their burrows. The entire experience is one I will always cherish as a lifetime memory! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys seeing animals in nature! It was amazing!

Am hoping you get this...
Am hoping you get this review of my Booking Ref 1356733365, Wed, 4 March 2026, Puffing Billy and Rainforest.
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and while I do not recall our guide's name, he was excellent. He led us through the rainforest, answered numerous questions and provided a great deal of information. Then he took us to the train station and made sure we all had tickets, explained time and place for pick up. He came with the group and took photos as we sat on the train windows; he also drove to a place where the train passed and took photos for the group, which was above and beyond! We saw him several times after the train ride and felt reassured. Thank you for the wonderful experience and guide.

Excellent day meeting...
Excellent day meeting point in the CBD of Melbourne, travelling through Melboure to the Yarra Valey. Our guide Matt was excellent, kept us informed through the day what the plan at each venue, Great wine, gin and rum tasting if you wanted to do that after lunch, excellent menu at lunch followed up with the chocolate and icecream venue.

The train and sightseeing...
The train and sightseeing were great. Our driver/guide Simon, was terrific. He kept us happy on the long drive to and from Phillip Island. Unfortunately only a few penguins participated that night.
Our only complaint was that the van used was uncomfortable. Our knees were against the seat in front and there was no place under the seat to stretch out our legs. We are not particularly tall.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
When people come to Melbourne, they don't come to only see the city's attractions. They also come for the great Melbourne day trips that let you experience more of Victoria while staying comfortably in Melbourne. Take it easy as you're driven out to your pick of beaches, coastal attractions, wine valleys, and wildlife sanctuaries—the latter of which lets you see Australian wildlife including penguins and koalas. You can also make the most of Australia's seasons, from hitting the slopes in the ski fields in winter (June–August) to walking to waterfalls in the warmer months (December–February).
