We had a wonderful day exploring around Luang Prabang and experiencing some of the highlights of Laos. Our guide, Mr Pong, was informative, knowledgeable and very detailed. He shared plenty of information about the local culture, history and way of life, which made the different stops much more meaningful. Our driver, Mr Me, also did a great job navigating the potholes, winding roads and bumpy sections along the way. We always felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. The itinerary was well planned, with a visit to a traditional Hmong village, followed by the beautiful Kuang Si Falls and lunch nearby elephants. We then continued with a Mekong River cruise to Pak Ou Caves, which was a lovely way to experience the scenery along the river. The little extras made the day even more enjoyable. Having drinks brought on board during the cave visit was a nice touch, and the whisky tasting was definitely a fun and memorable experience! The only real downside was the rainy weather, which made some of the trails wet and the day a little more challenging. But even the rain could not take away from the experience. Overall, a memorable and enjoyable Laos adventure with a great guide, reliable driver and a good mix of culture, nature, food and local experiences.
