- Experience a journey into a surreal, desert-like landscape on a Bintan day trip to the Sand Dunes and Blue Lake. This half-day tour offers a stunning contrast to the island's tropical beaches, taking you to a former sand mining site that has transformed into a photographer's paradise. Here's what makes this day trip an exciting and accurate adventure: - A "Desert" Oasis: Step onto the sprawling sand dunes, a surprisingly Saharan-like landscape right in the middle of a tropical island. The dunes, with their varying shades of white, gold, and light brown, are a result of years of mining and are perfect for capturing unique, "Instagram-worthy" photos. - The Luminous Blue Lake: As if the dunes weren't enough, you'll find a magnificent, sapphire-colored lake nestled among them. This oasis, created by rainwater filling the old mining pits, is a striking visual masterpiece. The shimmering blue water creates a beautiful, dreamlike backdrop against the rugged sand.

The Busung Desert, which is referred to as the Bintan Desert, features stunning white sand that glimmers under the sun’s rays. Its appearance is quite comparable to the various hilly deserts found in the Middle East.Originally, this location wasn’t a popular destination for tourists. Similar to Blue Lake, it was once a bauxite mine that gradually transformed into a breathtaking desert landscape.Visitors can unwind and capture amazing photos here since the scenery is perfect for Instagram. You can experience a taste of the Middle Eastern vibe without having to travel there directly.
