Brilliant day in Lombok!

What a fantastic day!!! Our driver - Taufik was very friendly, a skilled driver and very accomodating with the places we wanted to see. The local guide that we picked up for some of the locations - Rizal, was amazing. From inviting us into his home to meet his family, to taking us on an adventure walking on the different tiers of rice paddy fields out his 'back yard', to leading us on an incredible jungle hike to waterfalls where we got to swim under the falling water. One of the waterfalls was almost 'other worldly' it was so incredibly beautiful. We could have sat there all day just amazed by the beauty. Rizal was fun, full of stories and very easy to talk with plus he took some brilliant photos for us as well. We finished the day watching the sunset on a gorgeous and pretty much deserted beach. I think we pretty much used every minute of our allocated time and by the end of the day we were tired but it was the best day of our entire trip! Thanks Taufik and Rizal.

Well worth the price

Highly personalized and intimate tour of local rice fields, coffee roasting, and coconut oil processing plus a visit to a beautiful waterfall/grotto and the monkey forest (black monkeys). Wonderful tour from a guide that knows the area. Not your typical tourist trap stops. Andy was very knowledgeable, conscientious and prompt. He went above and beyond when Viator left us without transportation to the start of the tour. Andy came and got us right from the cruise ship. We very much appreciate him! Best way to self tour

This self driving audio tour bundle was a little confusing at first as I found it through Viator but then was directed to download the Shaka app and pay for the bundle through there. That being said, this app/activity was one of the best things that we did on the Big Island! We had the 5 drive bundle and ended up doing 4 of the them as we explored different parts of the island. The app provides turn by turn directions, is able to know exactly where you are starting from or if you decide to bypass any particular stop off or view point. While driving you are told the history of the area, folk lore, local eating/drink stops that are popular all interspered with island music. Our family of 4 all had a great time listening to the narrator and greatly appreciated having more information/knowledge about areas that we would have simply driven through. We learned a LOT about the island of Hawaii and about the culture in general.

This was a great tour. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable. Our visit to a traditional village was so interesting and we were treated to a performance of their traditional dance. Also visited a pearl shop and got a chance to try our hand at creating pottery items. A great day trip, highly recommend.

Great tour in Lombok

We were met at the cruise port by our very friendly driver and guide Tamat. Tamat spoke excellent English and drove us around the island of Lombok for 5 hours according to what we wanted to stop and see. Beaches and village life. Tamat was very knowledgeable and proud of his island of Lombok, courteous and he provided great insight on Lombok for us within the time frame that we had on the cruise schedule.

The trip was amazing: Nining and Mr Sam organised it very well. They picked me up from my hotel and drove to the port. Though it was cloudy to start with, we hit the major spots at the right time with plenty of time for snorkeling, lunch and walking on the beaches. I would recommend this trip if you want to explore quieter and beautiful beaches in the south east of Lombok .

Experience of a lifetime

We had the most amazing hike with our guide Mario! He and the two carriers took such good care of us during those two days. We had the best camping spot, on the rim of the crate, with the most amazing view (we could see the vulcano and Rinjani summet from our tent). Mario and the carriers made it possible that we had dinner at sunset and breakfast at sunrise, perfect hospitality and the food was amazing and divers. During the hike the guide addapted to our walking pace and cared for our safety. Mario told us some things about the environment and culture during the trip. We would totally recommend this trip, and especially this guide Mario, to others. An experience of a lifetime!
