Really excellent, highly recommend
It’s excellent and well worth it. There is a lot of walking, especially up and downhill so must wear proper shoes. Pilar was an excellent guide in both Spanish and English. Very knowledgeable and personable.

Beautiful challenging...
Beautiful challenging hike then a lunch tucked into a local hotel at a surfing mecca. Our tour guide Andy was knowledgeable and charming leaving us with new respect for the Basque people.

Great locations, historical backgrounds and a a good morning hike!
Great mixture of physical activity and history across two principal locations. It’s a healthy walk in the morning, so wear trainers (or light hillwalking boots) with good grip as some parts of the walk slippy with occasionally loose gravel. Guide was fantastic (Javier?), fun, interesting with suberb historical knowledge, Basque region, Spain and beyond! Recommended this tour company … enjoy!

Great time!
What a great trip! Our guide was knowledgeble and fun! It was nice to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The hike to Dragonstone was a fun challenge with beautiful views. The trip to the seaside port of Mundaka was a nice way to relax, have a drink and some pintxos! Visiting Gernika, seeing Picasso's artwork and hearing the history of the piece was very moving. I would highly recommend this trip :-)

  • One of the best places to pick up souvenirs locally is Mundaka BC, a gift shop that primarily stocks local brands.

  • Seafood is, unsurprisingly, the order of the day in Mundaka, and restaurants like Bar Goikoa offer a chance to taste local dishes.

  • While you’re here, don’t miss San Juan de Gaztelugatxe: The rocky island and hermitage (and Game of Thrones location) is one of the most popular stops on the Basque coast.

  • Mundaka has several local surf schools that supply gear and host courses.

  • The left-hand wave is generally best reserved for intermediate and advanced surfers; it can be powerful and also has a strong rip current.
