Day Trips from Jerusalem to Qumran Caves

Combine a Masada tour and Dead Sea trip into one memorable full-day tour from Jerusalem. Travel through the Judean desert by air-conditioned coach and pass the site of the famous New Testament parable of the Good Samaritan. Arrive at Masada and ride the cable car to the legendary mountaintop ruins of King Herod’s palaces. After a guided tour, drive to the Dead Sea. Relish the surreal Dead Sea floating experience and choose to take a therapeutic mud bath. Then, return to Jerusalem, passing the ancient city of Jericho on route.

Leave Jerusalem on a full-day private trip to Masada and the Dead Sea, and discover Israel’s remarkable history and landscapes. Drive deep into the Judean Desert, explore Masada’s fortifications and palaces alongside your personal guide, and learn about a dramatic, 1st-century battle between Roman troops and Jewish Sicarii rebels. Descend to the shores of the Dead Sea to walk along salt-encrusted beaches, bathe in mineral-rich mud and float in one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water.
