Samantha was an amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about Ireland’s history in addition to the Book of Kells. This tour is definitely worth it.

Superb guide for a wonderful tour!
This was a lovely tour of the book of Kells and history of Ireland.
Our guide John Field made the experience really enjoyable.
Plenty of walking but not too hard as there was a man with walking aids who kept up with no problems, the pace was perfect.
John was very informative and thoughtful, he managed to keep everyone entertained, and together in a group of twenty four.

Great comprehensive tour
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Pointed out a lot of interesting sites too bad the library at Book of Kells is undergoing a cleaning that means most books are off the shelves but that is out of anyone’s control.

An outstanding experience
Sharon was a wonderful guide, with encyclopedic knowledge, not only of the book of Kells, but also Irish history, customs, and the times before Christianity came to the Island. I recommend this tour and this guide without hesitation to anyone interested in Irish history and customs.

Good tour, but not near enough time at the Book of Kells location!
We enjoyed Kate's commentary and sure learned a lot throughout our tour, but our main reason for signing up for this tour was to see the Book of Kells, library and exhibits. We were not given nearly enough time to connect to the accompanying audio, go through the Book of Kells exhibit, Long Hall and listen to the audio at each station. This was a huge disappointment. Wish now we had booked the tickets on our own.

Excellent way to see Trinity and Book of Kells
Very good guide with tons of information to share! It’s much more in depth then when I came in 1995. It is sad to see the Long Room with so few books but good to know they are being preserved for the future

Great historical background of Dublin
This is an informative tour about the history of the Book of Kell’s, Trinity College, and other historical events that happened in not just Dublin, but Ireland as a whole. It is a heavy walking tour. Make sure you have good walking shoes. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable!

Lots of History with Excellent Guide
Our guide, Seamus, was very knowledgeable and shared lots of history as we walked from the Book of Kells at Trinity College to the Dublin Castle. He took the time to take photos of anyone in the group who wanted them at each stop. In addition, we were late getting to the tour due to cruise ship tender issues and he was very gracious to accept us into the group once we arrived.
