Head into the Sahara on this 4x4 day trip from Douz to the Ksar Ghilane oasis. The adventure starts the moment you leave town, your driver-guide takes you across sand tracks and rolling dunes, with wide-open desert scenery and photo stops along the way. Arrive around 11 AM after roughly three hours, visit the Roman Fort of Tisavar near the oasis, then explore the green palm grove with its cafes and small restaurants.
