Magical Day with amazing guide, Magdy!
We traveled in Egypt with Viking cruises on the ship Ra. We decided to do this tour through Emo Tours Egypt as an alternative to what Viking offers and we are so glad we did. Our guide, Magdy, came to the boat the morning of tour and provided his contact information to the Viking staff for backup safety. We were able to sleep in the van for the first couple hours of the drive, which was great since it was an early morning pickup. About an hour prior to arrival in Abu Simbel our guide, Magdy, efficiently used the driving time to give us an extensive overview of all we were about to see. Magdy used maps and photographs to clearly show us details of the temple art, what each part depicted and where to locate. This was a great use of the drive time while we were in a comfortable air conditioned van- it meant we did not need to stand in the hot sun to hear the explanations since guides are not allowed inside the Abu Simbel temples. We felt prepared and the advance explanations allowed us to focus on the magnificence versus trying to listen and visually take it in simultaneously. Magdy walked us to the temple entrances and took some great pictures of us- he’s also a great photographer and captured some of our favorite group shots for the entire trip. We took our time visit visiting the temples and met Magdy afterwards at the agreed-upon location. We opted to include lunch in the tour and were glad we did. Lunch was at a local restaurant just a few minutes drive from the archaeological site- great service and the food was delicious and plentiful. We rested on the way back to Aswan and enjoyed seeing the desert scenery— the ride was not too bad. Bring your ear buds and listen to a book, podcasts, or music. The visit to Abu Simbel was a top highlight of our three weeks in Egypt and Jordan. Magdy is absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable guide- we highly recommend him!! As a side note , suggest to read or listen to the book Empress of the Nile by Lynne Olsen prior to visit visiting Egypt. My mom and I were really glad we had done this to make the visit to Abu Simbel even more special knowing the history of how it was saved.

Incredible tour, highly recommend!!
I took this tour, and added the optional flower petals, balloons, and the photographer, as it was our 10th couple anniversary. The fotos were better than our wedding pictures, the photographer was amazing !! We printed them and have them in our living room. We saw the sunset on the feluca, so romantic, the guide put good music and was so happy and charismatic. The dinner was great as well, it was really memorable, an incredible way to spend the last night wr had in egypt. Of you are a couple, take the photo package, you will not regret it !!

Half Day visit to Memphis, Saqqara and Dashur
We had a wonderful time and our driver Samara was excellent. We booked only car and driver. Samara picked us up and he was wonderful. Since we were going to see the pyramids, we didn't feel the need for a guide. Samara took us to all the places Bent, Red, Step pyramids etc. He even gave us chocolates. We had a wonderful visit to Memphis, Saqqara & Dashur on Aug 31, 2026. Something memorable...as we were heading back to Giza, Samara suddenly stopped the car on the highway and asked to take a picture....we were worried however he said it was normal and not to worry. He took a picture of us, it was classic...thanks Samara. He even gave us egyptian change with Tutankhamun on it. We definitely cherished the coins. Thanks Samara & Emo Tours for a memorable visit.

Great day in Cairo
Mizo was incredible he is one of the best tour guides ever, he is so funny and passionate about his work, he explains history through the human experience not through dates and boring facts. I loved visiting the churches, the Mosques I was not too excited about however they were actually beautiful and so interesting to learn about . I love the respect Mizo showed for the churches. I needed to buy a special gift at the church and he made sure I got what I wanted and also let me stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere

Cairo isn’t all about pyramids, museums, and markets. After the soporific heat of the afternoon, Egypt’s capital kicks into life, offering visitors rich pickings for tourist-oriented entertainment and authentic, local Cairo nightlife. Board an illuminated riverboat to cruise the Nile, enjoying dinner, folklore shows, and the floodlit skyline as you sail. Alternatively, book a white-sailed felucca boat ride or guided walking tour to sample the old city’s sights, cuisine, shisha bars, and coffee houses. And don't miss Giza's nightly light and sound show, which tells the story of the pyramids with lasers, projections, and booming narration.
