Fantastic experience
This was a fantastic day - come prepared with an empty stomach! Valentina was a wonderful guide, she shared so much knowledge and history during the tour. We thought this was great value for money given the length of the day and amount of food and wine offered.

Luxury cars
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the four car museums… I enjoyed them all but especially loved the Pagani one the best. It was very interesting reading all about these men and how they got started in the car business. The lunch with the local wine and food was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour.

Must do tour!
Gabriele was an amazing guide! Knowledgeable, friendly, charming and delightful! Tour was excellent and got to taste/eat so many great offerings! Gabriele even walked with us post tour to provide apertivo/dinner recommendations for the remainder of our trip! AMAZING!

Excellent, informative tour!
This is a well planned, easy walking tour. Our guide, Elena, shared all kinds of information about the unique foods and recipes of Bologna. Come hungry as you are going to taste, sample and eat and drink your way through four courses of food over the course of the tour.

What an adventure
This was a great tour and great opportunity to learn about the Bologna food scene and what it has to offer made only better by our guide, Riccardo.
He was very passionate about his home town and very enthusiastic about passing on to the group his knowledge.
I would highly recommend this tour and if you get Riccardo as your tour guide then expect the unexpected! 10 out of 10

Great and cheap tour to get to know the history of Bologna
This is a great and simplistic tour to explore the city centre of Bologna. We have had a very nice and knowledgable guide, who explained us the rich history around. If you are in the centre of Bologna with limited time and not sure what to do, this tour should be your pick.

Outstanding Food Tout with Valentina!
Awesome tour! Valentina was great! We learned so much about Bologna, and the food choices were excellent! She is really passionate about her city and the amazing food! She taught us about the history of the food, how and where it’s produced, and the restaurants were outstanding!

The queen of cheeses!
Perfect way to spend the day learning about how Parmesan cheese is made. We were very lucky to be able to taste the cheese of the white cow…delicious! Our tour of the Lambrusco winery was quite an experience. The museum is full of amazing relics and we were lucky enough to meet the owner, Giacobazzi! The balsamic vinegar was incredible! Learning how long it takes to mature and eating a fantastic lunch at this quaint B&B was a great way to end the foody portion of the tour. Highly recommend, especially if you’re also into seeing the history of the Lamborghini, which is also quite amazing!

The tour was excellent! ...
The tour was excellent! The food was amazing and our tour guide, Darren, is a chef and very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all our questions and was very personable. We started with coffee, then meat and cheese with a wine pairing, pasta with a wine pairing and ended with gelato. Deliziosa!!

10/10 loved this tour and tour guide!
This was a well thought tour right in the heart of the city center. It was the perfect blend of sight seeing, with several excellent stops for food tastings and wine. The guide was excellent and we had so much fun together! It was a perfect afternoon spent really getting to experience Bologna like a local. I am a female solo traveller and always look for experiences like this. 10/10 will be back when I’m in town again!

Had a great tour of the city!
We really enjoyed our tour with Nicola! We learned a lot about the city and got to try some local foods. I enjoyed how he started the tour from the outside of the city and we worked our way in to learn about the layers of history. This worked for us because we came in from the train just for the day.

Modena Belisimmo
Ilaria, our guide and driver was excellent. She is knowledgeable with a deep knowledge of the regions around Bologna. We were picked up by Hotel Touring. The parmigiana experience at a local farm was excellent. Wish we could get there early enough to see the renin added to the milk. Tasting of aged parmigiana was very good. The balsamic vineyard experience was eye opening. The lunch with the pairing with charcuterie and then risotto was very good. So we decided to to buy aged balsamic. After a food coma, we visited a prosciutto aging plant. Never seen so many legs of ham hanging to be cured. I would do it again with friends.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Often overshadowed by Italy’s more famous cities, Bologna offers a quieter, culture-rich base for exploring the north. As the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, it’s a top destination for food-focused travelers, and tours often include tasting regional specialties such as prosciutto, Parmigiano Reggiano, and balsamic vinegar. However, Bologna day trips go beyond food, with guided tours to nearby highlights including the Chianti wine region, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, and historic cities such as Ravenna. With round-trip transportation and local guides included, these tours make it easy to discover the best of Italy’s north in one day.
