First of all, naming...
First of all, naming names, a huge shoutout to the entire team, i especially had a great time getting to chat with Sana about the marine wildlife, and was able to get a good picture about the diving scene in North island, Sana was extremely knowledgeable about the best spots to go in North island for diving, and i enjoyed our interactions discussing the impact of Urchin barrens, and their impact on marine ecosystems in both Australia and New Zealand.
Throughout the rest of the trip, Kayla was great at pointing out and discussing the wildlife we saw during the tour, but always knew when to just let the tour group enjoy the moment, never over-explaining or adding unnecessary commentary just to fill silence.
Overall the entire experience was nothing short of breath taking, it was a privilege to be able to get so close to such beautiful wildlife, and me and my partner walked away with a commitment to be more aware of how we wash our clothes, or what we consume after being educated during an after-tour presentation on the environmental impacts of current typical societal behaviours.
Safe to say we won't be using single-use plastics anytime soon.
Thanks again team for the tour, the next time we come back to NZ, we'll be doing some Diving.

Wonderful tour of the West Side of Auckland
We had a fantastic day with our guide, Harriet. She gave us so much insight into Auckland and the history of the city as well as the importance of native species to New Zealand. Each stop was well worth the visit and I’d happily recommend this tour to friends visiting Auckland.

Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach
Absolutely beautiful, be sure to bring good shoes for hiking a little. You may want to bring water shoes for the hot water beach.
A change of clothes and a microfiber towel. All in all great experience, and scenery
I loved my guides with Cheeky Kiwi
Trent and Dave very informative, polite, entertaining

Relax and Enjoy!
This trip was great! I liked that we didn’t have to worry about car rentals or driving on the left side of the road (which is nerve wracking for me). The attractions were far away from Auckland where we were staying. We loved the caves and loved hobbiton! The driver was very friendly and entertaining. We also were admitted to the attractions with very little wait. I highly recommend!

Amazing views, above ground and below.
Fantastic experience. From Aaron's picking us up and sharing so much along the way, including when we stopped for coffee and a bathroom break, to Spellbound's Peter guiding us through the caves and sharing so much detailed information about the worms, how to take good pictures, and more.
We got picked up at 7:45, and were back by 5:30, so it is a long day, but very well done in every aspect. There was water and snacks on the bus out there, a stop between caves for coffee or tea and cookies, and then a stop to walk around and get some lunch or fruit at the fruit stand, all with bathroom stops at the same time as well.
All went well, never felt like we were somewhere too long or too short. The only thing I guess could serve as a warning is that the 11 passenger bus is ok, but the seats are fairly small, so if you are large in stature, you will be uncomfortable, but not terribly so. With driving that much, it could have been worse, and the views out the big windows were great.

Hobbiton and the glow worm caves
Wonderful experience even though the morning consisted of pouring down rain. The rain finally eased when we arrived at Hobbiton. It is beautiful and magical. We then had an ale at the Green Dragon pub and went to see the glow worm caves. It also is amazing. We made the drive back to Auckland but stopped for some Hokey Pokey ice cream. Excellent day and there were plenty of bathroom stops. Our driver/guide was named Warren and he is excellent.

It makes for a long day,...
It makes for a long day, but all the stops were Well worth the time. Our driver, Wayne, navigated some crazy streets and awful traffic on the freeways, but that is two and from our appointment safely. We especially enjoyed the Maori cultural exhibition. Be sure to hike the thermal area and geyser! Fun stops to learn about the student skills programs in weaving, stonework, and wood carving.

We did this trip from...
We did this trip from Auckland. The van ride there and back is 2+ hours each way. We had time after arriving and before the tour started to visit the cafe and gift shop. Good food, sweet treats and friendly service - a good plan for lunch. It can be wet here. It rained non-stop during our visit. The Hobbiton facility supplied umbrellas and there were places to step out of the rain occasionally. Overall we felt comfortable. Dress appropriately - waterproof shoes with good traction are helpful. The trail had a few muddy spots, but overall the drainage was good and it was just wet.
You will have an opportunity to visit th interior of one of Theo Hobbit holes. It is supremely satisfying! You can sit in chairs, lay in beds and even climb into the bathtub if you like.
The Viator guide/driver we had (Ben) was fantastic! He was amusing, engaging and a good driver. The Hobbiton staff were also delightful. It seems to be a New Zealand thing and we love it!

A great way to spend a quick weekend in Auckland! Our guide, Pearl, was so much fun and extremely accommodating. She also taught us about the Māori culture. In addition to seeing Hobbiton and the Caves, the drive featured the stunning New Zealand countryside.

Lovely tour from Auckland
Great little half day excursion from Auckland. Pick up was just after noon and was on time. We were with Mark and Andy. Mark was guiding and had SO much knowledge. I was honestly shocked that he knew so much about everything. New Zealand, plants, birds, the beach, you name it, he knew it. Great pair of gentlemen. We did the rainforest walk where Mark pointed out literally everything, and then went to Piha beach which is just jaw droppingly beautiful. Black sand with dramatic formations, can't be beat. What a great way to spend an afternoon.

My personal experience during the city sightseeing tour with Mr. John yesterday is indescribable. He provided a tour that was both exciting and memorable, showcasing his expertise. His extensive knowledge of the history, culture and more was impressive. I truly appreciated the opportunity to see the city and all that it has to offer.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Coast, countryside, island retreats—Auckland has it all. It’s no surprise that New Zealand’s largest city offers plenty of choice for day-trippers. Auckland day trips will take you to black-sand beaches, ancient Kauri forests, and idyllic vineyards, often all in one day. If you want to venture further afield, many North Island highlights are also within day-trip distance of Auckland. Peek inside Hobbit holes as you tour a Lord of the Rings movie set, marvel at the geothermal wonders of Rotorua, or go rafting along an underground river and gaze up at a canopy of glittering glowworms.
