Good tour BUT was TOO RUSHED without adequate time at the actual temple sites
The driver was pretty lousy and even though the description says the tour starts at a particular time, they'll ask you to be ready 2 hours beforehand because they pick up a whole group of tourists before proceeding to Luxor. More time is wasted on that than is given to the tourists to actually see the temples.
The guides were worth hiring. Our first guide at Kom Ombo temple was terrific and highly informative! Our second one - not so much.

A wonderful experience
What an incredible experience! Mina - our tour guide - was an absolute legend.
The service on board was also really good. The cabin was cleaned daily and the buffet restaurant had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

Great transfer with siteseeing
Excellent way to move from Aswan to Luxor and dive into ancient Egypt along the way. Guides were met directly on site and were nice. Driver did not speak a word of English but was quite ok. I can recommend the experience.

Great experience visiting...
Great experience visiting Kom Ombo and Edfu. Pickup was easy and everything ran smoothly. The guide was knowledgeable and shared details I wouldn’t have picked up on my own. I also appreciated having time to walk around on my own. Overall, it was a good experience.

Landmarks that are in rural area worth seeing
The tour operator unlike other tours booked with Viator communicated well with us and the driver came on time and he patiently took us to all the landmarks Esna Edfu and Kim Ombo before dropping us to the hotel the roads in rural Egypt tend to give u a bumpy ride

Edfu Temple was worth the drive, but not Kom Ombo.
Edfu temple was worth the trip, but the 2 to 2.5 hr drive from Edfu to Kom Ombo would not be something I would do again for what Kom Ombo has to offer. The tour guide gave good detailed explanations at Edfu, but not so much so at Kom Ombo, maybe he wanted to get off work earlier.

This was a great day! Our...
This was a great day! Our driver was on time and drove safely. The temples are fantastic and some of the easier ones to see independently without a guide.

Great Road Trip
Such a great experience seeing both Edfu and Kom Ombo temples. My guide Sayed was so full of knowledge and enthusiasm and he really made the day memorable. A definite highlight is seeing the mummified crocodiles in the museum. Wild!

A wonderful day exploring the well preserved Edfu Temple
Smooth, effortless communication with the tour operator. We were piked up on time by a friendly driver in a nice car. We were given plenty of time to see both temples and were brought back home safely. The Edfu Temple is better preserved than the Kom Ombo Temple. We didn't know that at the time so ask your driver or your tour guide (if you've booked one) for more time in Edfu. We had a wonderful day and I definitely recommend this tour!

Guide was knowledgeable and answered questions. He let us have our own time at the temples as well. Driver was efficient and polite too.

When to visit

- This site is a must for history lovers; don’t miss the unique carvings of early medical instruments.
- A lack of printed information on-site means visiting with a guide is especially worthwhile.
- Steps and gravel pathways can make this site difficult to access for visitors with wheelchairs or strollers.
