The main goal about this experience is sailing for 5 or 6 hours daily to enjoy the view of the Nile, the villages, culture and ancient Egyptian history through out stopping at villages to chat with locals and visit Kom Ombo Temple for 1 hour, Gebel El-Silsila for 1 hour and Edfu Temple for 1 hour. Great 3-night-experience on the nile

We had a great 3-night-experience on the nile with Tarek and Sulayman. They took really good care of us and the food was amazing. I am vegetarian and I always had more than enough food. There were no other guests but my friend and I, therefore it was a very calm, quiet journey. If you enjoy the simple life and can live without a proper shower for 3 days - this tour is for you!

Amazing felucca experience from Aswan to Daraw

We (3 of us) went on a felucca with Ahmed and Waleed sailing up the Nile for 2 nights (Aswan to Daraw), and then a private transfer to Luxor via Edfu temple. The first day was a full day of gentle zig-zagging along the Nile, which was very relaxing and a great opportunity to just enjoy being on the river. A highlight was stopping in Daraw village on the second day - Ahmed joined us, took us to the camel market (although sadly there were no camels as there's been a shortage of them coming up from Sudan), through the souq, for a delicious coffee, and even helped us organise a shave at one of the barbershops. The felucca was really comfortable. We each got our own mosquito nets and plenty of blankets to keep warm during the cold nights. They close up the sides of the felucca at night to help keep it warm. Ahmed was an amazing cook - every meal was delicious and he made sure we got to try authentic Nubian cuisine. Waleed was an excellent sailor and navigated the river expertly. Together they kept us on track even when the wind died down, or when it picked up and was too strong! You can tell that both of them absolutely love what they do. Would love to come back and do it again with more friends.

Abbiamo passato due notti in feluca coccolati da un equipaggio fantastico che si è preso cura di noi e ci ha mostrato le meraviglie del nilo accompagnandoci anche in meravigliose escursioni nei mercati locali. Esperienza che richiede sicuramente un grande spirito di adattamento, ma che regala dei ricordi indelebili, meravigliosi ed autentici, lontano dal turismo di massa. Anche se la barca non è nuovissima ha un bagno molto pulito e la cucina di Ahmed è veramente la migliore: Non abbiamo mangiato così bene neanche in rinomati hotel e ristoranti. Abbiamo passato il primo giorno in navigazione, mentre nel secondo abbiamo visitato un villaggio ed il tempo di Kom Ombo in solitudine (i barconi non erano ancora arrivati). Dopo un autista ci ha accompagnato alla meravigliosa Edfu e al nostro successivo albergo a Luxor. Consigliata!
