Day Trips from Amman to Petra

Begin your day with a visit to Shobak Castle, a 12th-century Crusader fortress overlooking the surrounding hills. Explore its impressive stone walls, towers, and underground passages, and enjoy panoramic views of the dramatic landscape. After Shobak, continue south to the world-famous Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Walk through the narrow Siq canyon to reach the iconic Treasury, then explore Petra’s tombs, temples, and hidden pathways carved into rose-red rock. The combination of natural beauty and ancient architecture makes Petra an unforgettable highlight of your journey.
