What are people saying about Tiwanaku

Ancient aliens? I think not.
Easy walk with a minimal amount of uphill and a minimal amount of stairs. You begin in Tiwanaku, see the whole complex, then visit the museums and seethe 7 meter (22 foot) tall obelisk unearthed at the sight. Then you go to Puma Punku, which is not a large site. See the H blocks and other oddly bored stones. Just remember a fair portion of the tour is getting to and from the sight.

Tiwanaku Bolivia- exceptional tour
This is an incredible sight in Bolivia. Our guide, Israel, is a very impressive and knowledgeable person. He is a good representative of the culture and people of Bolivia.

Tiwanaku
  • The ruins at Tiwanaku are a must-see for first-time visitors as well as history and archaeology buffs.

  • Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking over uneven surfaces, and bring sunblock and warm clothes.

  • At 13,000 feet (almost 4,000 meters) above sea level, the high altitude can be a problem for many visitors, so take it easy until you’re properly acclimated.
