Pre Inca educational tour
This was maybe a half hour of Lake Titicaca and an afternoon at the archaeological sights. I was lured by the lake and didn’t realize how long a drive that could be. Guide and driver were very courteous and delicious lunch was included.

Wonderful day to Lake Titicaca
Had a wonderful day with Johnny (Driver) and Richard (guide). Lake Titicaca is so much bigger than I thought and the lunch of local food was wonderful with an unbelievable view of Lake Titicaca.
It was long day (12 hours) but we enjoyed this private tour so much!

Lake Titicama
Lake Titicama is a wonderful trip from La Paz, long day but worth it. There was a bit of misunderstanding as I thought I had booked a private tour but I had booked a private tour guide. We travelled by a tourist bus and on the return we had to use public transportation as the tourist bus had left, which was a bit surprising.

Nice private tour
A great private tour of Lake Titicaca and Tiwanaku. The guide and driver were very friendly and the car was very comfortable.
There is A LOT of driving, but that’s because you have to go far distances, so just take that into consideration.
The included lunch had a decent “buffet” selection that would probably appeal to most people.

Great attractions but long journey
Copacabana and lake Titikaka were amazing places to visit. Our guides Ricardo was knowledgeable, super friendly, and took great care to make sure that we were comfortable at all times. Bolivia is a diamond in the rough with superb sites to visit like the ones on this trip, but its infrastructure is not developed adequately. We had to take public bus transports and ferry boats to get to our destinations. The roads are rough and congested with traffic. In some areas, local vendors took over street lanes to sell their ware in open markets resulting in traffic jams. This is why our excursion took us over 16 hours. Very tiring to say the least. If you plan on taking this trip, you will enjoying the main attractions, however, be prepared for a long, somewhat uncomfortable journey.

Beautiful sites, great tour. LOTs of driving.
Beautiful sites, great tour. I didn't even realize this was a private tour. Our tour guide Nat was great and the driver Diego was a joy. It is a LOT of driving (about 6 hours) to see two sites, but we enjoyed it. The tour guide kept us engaged, the boat ride in Lake Titicaca was delightful, even on a chilly day, and Tiawanku is enlightening.

Helpful & attentive guide
we took the 1-day Lake Titicaca + Copacabana + Isla del sol Package on 21-Aug-2025. Our guide MILTON was helpful, calm and attentive. He took very good care of us.
The Viator listing did say this was on a "shared bus". As a 1st-time La Paz, Bolivia -- we just did not expect it to be on the public transportation (public bus, taxi, public ferry). I think we just did not adjust our expectations. However, our guide MILTON was really helpful, and he made our trip efficient.

Wonderful stay on Lake Titicaca
After a bit of a wait we were transited to the bus terminal for the 1+ hr journey to Copacabana where we caught a ferry and then a short bus ride to the edge of Lake Titicaca. It is much bigger than we expected. We then went by speed boat to the largest island where we hiked up approx 200 vertical metres to our hotel. Along the way our friendly and helpful guide Quancarlo explained the habitat, wildlife and buildings/monuments. The hotel was good. After dinner Quancarlo escorted us up to the summit to watch the sunset. The following day we hiked across the island to see an Incan temple. We then returned to Copacabana by speed boat and had free time in the town (celebrating a religious event). The weather was fantastic (no junpers or gloves were needed until the morning as there is no heating in the room). Do not expect to stay in a traditional hut - that's done in Puno.

When to visit

Intense sun and unpredictable weather mean that temperatures can vary dramatically in a single day, so bring layered clothing.
Many boats to Sun Island feature an open-air top deck with fabulous views, but a brimmed hat and sunglasses are a must if you want to ride up top.
Lake Titicaca's high elevation can be taxing, especially if you've just arrived in Bolivia, so plan to move slowly and drink plenty of water.
