The tour begins in the city centre and follows the trails of Mount Aksla, where you’ll discover natural surroundings and remnants of World War II. Reach the Fjellstua viewpoint, around 150 metres above sea level, and enjoy spectacular views over the city, its islands, the sea and the Sunnmøre Alps.
Then descend the 418 steps back to the city centre, where you’ll learn about the great fire of 1904 and the reconstruction of Ålesund in Art Nouveau style, including its distinctive Dragon Style.
