knowledgeable tour and learnt a lot! Wete made a lot more of the movies than we thought. They shall make a coffee table book of each of the movies they made and the story behind it! would be lovely to read it all!

An entertaining, guided tour through the active workshop, we were lucky that our guide Liam actually works at Weta as a concept artist so had first-hand knowledge of many of the artifacts, and a great knowledge overall - loved it!

I thought it was interesting, but expected more for the money. There were lots of props and costumes from the many movies Weta worked on.

I'm not a huge lord of the rings fan. and thought it was going to be pretty much about that. so wasn't overly excited. But I was very wrong they have been involved in so many more films, etc I have always thought the Te Papa Gallipoli exhibition was amazing and found out thats their very talented work. Our Tour Guide was such a character which was made that much better buy her parents being on our tour too. I have recommended going and seeing what happens there to a few people already will continue. Great thing to do as a family even if wellington weather is not at its finest. You will be pleasantly surprised. And u may even walk out inspired to bring out your creativity again. Thanks for opening it up to the public to see a little of what goes into making films, Adds Props costumes etc..

Very interesting 90 minute tour. Took a local bus out to Wētā. Depending on where you pick it up from harbor could be about 30 to 45 minute trip plus the time to walk to bus stop from harbor. Loved meeting the artists in residence and getting to actually get a hands on experience with some of the props! The number of films this studio has been involved with is crazy.

Really inspiring visit especially for my partner who is very creative. Unfortunately timing is everything and productive staff were on breaks so we didn't get to witness them actually working on real projects. None the less a worthwhile visit with much to see and enjoy.

We loved visiting the Welly Weta! It was a fascinating behind the scenes experience and so worth the time and money. It was much more authentic than Weta Auckland (if you can only
go to one, pick Welly for sure). Our guide was terrific. It is quite close to the airport and quite a ways outside of the city center, so plan it on your way in our out. Plan some time for pics with the trolls outside. I've got a bum knee, and while it's lots of walking, I found a spot to sit for a minute in almost every space.
