Overview
Combine big thrills with epic views on this half-day white-water rafting adventure along the Elaho and Squamish Rivers. Even though this tour is beginner-friendly, you’ll still tackle challenging Class III-IV rapids, including the notorious “Devil’s Elbow”, as seen on TV. In between the rapids, soak up the scenery as you float downstream past ancient volcanoes, glaciers, and waterfalls, and look out for wildlife such as bears, beavers, and deer.

All of the guides were friendly, fun, and clear about what was going to happen and how to do it safely. The time on the river was amazing, views were spectacular, and everything went smoothly thanks to Sean’s instructions. I will say, it is a long day, from hotel and back was about 8 hrs so bring snacks and be prepared! Worth it.

Great trip! Lucas was an excellent guide; kept it fun yet interesting. Rapids were enough to keep this 2nd time rafter challenged, interspersed with enough calm to enjoy the amazing scenery (saw two bald eagles!).

Our guide Lucas was great. And all the stuff were cordial and efficient as well. There was a bit of confusion on the time spent on the bus which left most people with a worried look when we all heard 15min and it was really 50min. The timeline was unclear as well as my understanding was 9am-12pm and it ended just before 3pm. I didn’t mind more time rafting but much of the door was spend floating down a lazy river type flow as there were only 4 or 5 rapid sections. I don’t think there were any class 4 rapids unfortunately. I was looking for more of an adrenaline trip which this was not. Wish the tour company would be more clear on expectations of the trip.

It sounds like the timing that you are referring to is for our Family Friendly Cheakamus Splash Trip and not the Wet and Wild Elaho Exhilarator (the trip that you went on). We do our best to be as transparent as possible about the timing for our trips, especially about the hour long drive to the river, so clients can plan accordingly.
It is great to hear though despite the confusion about the trip timing that you still enjoyed your time out on the river with Lucas!

We had a great day on the river. I hadn't done my research properly to understand the meet point, but we messaged the company and they responded very quickly adding arranging a pick up location at short notice (48 hours).
The day was well organised and the multi-national team of staff were very clear about what we needed to do and what would happen next. They managed to strike a balance between being friendly, but not overly familiar.
All four of us (including my two teenage children) really enjoyed their time on the river - which was flowing high due to the warm weather which resulted in additional ice cap melt.
From the base (where the boats are stored and the changing facilities are), there was an hour bus ride to water entry. We were on the water for almost 3 hours (including a short break for a drink and snack). Then a bus ride back to base, where we could view pictures and the Go Pro video footage from our boat. All of which were available for sale at a reasonable price.

Firstly, the professional manner of everyone and our guide, Nick, though in training, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and we were always able to follow his instructions. I LOVED it when we got soaked by the water .. great fun!!

Dan was fantastic - the entire guiding group actually. Seemed knowledgeable about the river and the surroundings, but also seemed to enjoy what they did as raft guides. Made the experience inviting and so fun. Great rapids, good times had by all. Highly recommend it, and ask for DAN!!!! He is the hairy one...nice sweater as he says.

My family and I had a great time rafting the Elaho River with Canadian Outback. The staff and guides were friendly and helpful. We felt safe and entertained (and WET). I would highly recommend. The only glitch was that Viator seemed to have screwed up our reservation. But CO had room and easily accommodated us.

Super convenient and exciting tour that i did with my teenage sons. A van picked us up at our downtown hotel and took us to Squamish. We did the tour in June, so it was a bit cool, but the water was high and the waterfalls were spectacular. It's hard to believe such a wild and pristine place is so close to busy Vancouver. Dropped off again back at our hotel for a very fun day.
