A trek to Dunedin, but they made it comfortable and the guide was ver knowledgeable and kind. Train is good, and Dunedin was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful city and great way to travel to it. Would have book a bit more time in Dunedin if I knew how wonderful it is.

Thanks for travelling to Dunedin with us through the Taieri Gorge by train.
This new tour s a great way to to get to and from Dunedin!
Travelling from Queenstown you'll get off the beaten track, journey through some old Gold Mining towns and through the rural farming area of Central Otago and the Maniototo.
Lots of Historic areas that make up the history of the region...more cows and sheep you have ever seen!
Once you get to Pukerangi you then take a train trip through the rustic Taieri Gorge to Dunedin.
This train trip takes you through some incredible viaducts and tunnels and and drops you off at the very beautiful historic Dunedin Railway station!
Dunedin born of Scottish ancestry has lots of historic buildings and the infamous Otago University.
Unique penguin and wildlife tours along the Otago peninsula and beautiful beaches at St Clair top it off as a wonderful place to visit!
Thanks for travelling with the Cheeky Kiwi Travel Team!

Our tour guide Colin picked us up promptly at our hotel and headed on to Dunedin. He was a great guide and had thorough knowledge of the countryside and answered all our questions. Afterwards, we took the train the rest of the route to Dunedin and had spectacular views. The tour guide on the train continued with all the history the gold mining and all about the construction of the rail line. I would recommend this tour to anyone, especially to first time visitors to the region.

We really appreciate your review of one of our new tours to and from Queenstown and Dunedin.
Colin is a very knowledgeable guide, and it looks like you were all well entertained on your trip.
The rail journey is a journey back in time through the early gold mining route that created most of the early history into Central Otago. Old rail trail through many viaducts and tunnels caps off a great day out!
