Go to the market! You’ll learn about food sources, cheeses, etc. Eat something before you go. Dinner prep takes every bit of 3-4 hours. There’s nothing served during prep - except wine (or juice, water). I was STARVING! Dinner was worth the wait. The group of people were delightful. I was traveling alone, so it was nice to find such fun, kind people to spend an evening with. Paulo was an excellent guide and expert on everything! And we asked him ALOT of questions! 😂 it’s nice to be with someone so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I would do this again either some or my husband or a group of friends.

Chef Frederick guided us through the market where we picked out our foods to prepare.
We learned many French food techniques and Frederick managed our group seamlessly giving all an opportunity to learn. Delicious food and top notch company we enjoyed every minute. A Paris must do !!!

Wonderful experience! We learned a lot and the recipes were fairly easy and something we could do at home. Food was good and we enjoyed the class and the other participants. Fréderick had a good sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. It was a bit overpriced, in my opinion, but we are glad we participated and will take home and enjoy the recipes and information we learned from the class.

If you enjoy cooking, learning to cook, or even if you just enjoy eating fine foods - then this is a must-do experience in Paris. The facility - The Foodist is a beautiful space for not only cooking, but also for sitting down in a beautiful dining room to enjoy your own delicious French creations. Frederic, our “foodie tour guide” and professional chef, was so very knowledgeable, kind & patient and funny & friendly with all of us (only three couples)! His instructions for every step began with a detailed explanation of what we needed to do and why - and then for each of us (we all had separate specific tasks), Frederic was sure to show us exactly how to do what was needed. Add to it the red & white wine that flowed (after we were nearly complete with our dinner prep) and we all had a rewarding and delightful experience that we won’t soon forget. Finally, once back at our hotel, we found an email with all the recipes that we had prepared! All in all - really a must-do - SO glad we did (and would do it again the next time in Paris)!

Loved this experience and our chef, Paolo is beyond excellent. I was solo the first 2 days of my trip and thought this would be a fun experience and it totally was. I was solo, but there was a family and a couple who also joined in the fun. We learned to make a 3 course meal. In our class it was cauliflower & fennel soup, coco vin, and poached pears dipped in chocolate. Chef Paolo showed us many tips/tricks and broke things down so as not to be intimidated by these seemingly intimidating dishes. Team work, conversation, laughter, and a wee bit of wine! Time flew by and I was not ready to leave after our dinner. Would 100% recommend this to any and all, no cooking experience required.

What a fabulous experience! Chef Paul is kind, knowledgeable and patient. His place is beautiful and my husband and I learned so much. The other people in our group were so much fun to be in class with. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to try these recipes at home. We highly highly recommend!

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday week with my daughter at Le Foodiste, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We joined a small group for a three-course cooking class, and the entire experience from the food to the instruction to the facility was exceptional.
The chef’s guidance was clear, patient, and inspiring. I learned so many new techniques and even conquered something I had been hesitant to try before: using a mandoline. The joy of mastering that, alongside my daughter, made the evening unforgettable.
The facility itself was welcoming and well-equipped, creating the perfect environment for learning and celebrating. The intimate group size allowed us to connect with the other participants, which added warmth and camaraderie to the evening.

Shopping in the Parisian grocery was so fun! It was a bit hard to hear as it was a busy Saturday evening, but we loved the added experience. Luc is an incredible chef and did a phenomenal job. Our class was super fun. We loved interacting with the other participants, and created a fantastic dinner that we can't wait to recreate at home.

Paolo was very knowledgeable and made the experience so fun! I feel like we learned about the importance of food in French culture, some history as well as how to prepare it. I'd say our group had a lot of fun working together with each other and making the whole experience better. I loved the being able to eat in between the cooking. The food was simplistic but good and something I can easily recreate at home. This is definitely an experience I'd want to do again and hope that Paolo is my guide! He mentioned that he likes to change the menu often just to make sure he's cooking with the most seasonal ingredients!

As a family who loves food and cooking we were pumped for this cooking class. Our spirits were lifted even higher when we met our chef Paulo who immediately greeted us with a warm welcome and showed real enthusiasm about cooking. While we weren't able to go to the market with Paulo, but heard that it was an excellent opportunity to learn what chefs look for in ingredients when curating their menus. Moreover, we really loved the environment Paulo created in the kitchen, he was excellent at combining professionalism with a home style vibe and making us all feel included and helpful in the kitchen. 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend to anyone regardless of culinary interest or experience!
