Harley is a hoot ! He is a very high energy guide with lots of local, historical, and general knowledge. He made the long drive fun. He also navigated back roads around some serious I-70 traffic, and got us into places declared “closed” online…but as a local and long time guide with the insider scoop, he got us to every single site. The views were majestic and well worth the time.

Res Rocks and White Snow

Zia_C, May 2026
This trip by Ilimo is a must do. It is a good combination of pace and rest, movement and grandeur, in short, a very well curated trip with adequate time for every included spot. Alex was a very knowledgeable guide and kept on informing us of every stop on the trip. The first stop was at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The museum. is excellent and the Amphitheatre is a natural treasure which is a treat to see. Alex informed us about the mining townships en route to Brekenbridge after this. We had a quiet lazy lunch at Brekenbridge along with a walk on the main historic street, which was lovely. Then we went for a short walk into the forest and then up into the White River National Park, the Continental divide and the Loveland Pass before descending into Denver. We saw some elks on the way. This was an amazing trip and I am happy to recommend it....

A perfect appetizer tour

Kristel_F, May 2026
Beautiful landscapes - like a postcard! ❤️ Our tour guide Alex was amazing!!! Warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Due to a wreck that stopped all traffic dead (including us!), right when we were starting our return trip, we understood that the accident scene delay would make my husband/I late to our next event. Alex got out and went a few feet ahead to others outside their cars to ask the cause. He returned to share with us the situation that lay ahead, then he determined each options’ estimated delay, calculated options for getting back as close to time as possible, and then discussed those options with us, inviting us old fogeys to play a role in his decision-making process (elder wisdom lol). It showed tremendous respect for us as people and not just fares. That’s character. I highly recommend this tour! It’s like a series of appetizers. If you’re looking for in-depth activity with plenty of time to explore, look to other options.

Big recommend!

It was unseasonably warm for February but it was beautiful. Our tour guide was very nice and could answer most questions about the places on the itinerary. However, it would have been nice to have more commentary on the long ride to Breckenridge (even it it were taped or preprogrammed).

Red Rocks, Breck and Continental Divide

Melanie_S, Oct 2025
First, the tour is awesome! Most amazing views of the mountains and scenery. The tour director, Harley, was fun, kind and a really good driver. Has A LOT of energy and gave good instruction for avoiding altitude sickness. He was really knowledgeable and made the tour come to life. There were a good amount of stops for bathroom breaks and stretching. For plus sized folks like myself, be advised. The van fits 15 people but would consider it narrow with limited leg room for bigger or taller folks. It was pretty uncomfortable for me on the long stretches so I would not consider it “luxury” in that regard as the term ilimo might lead you to think. The longest stretch in the van was about 1:30 hours at time. So given the reward of the views and the fun overall, for me it was definitely worth it. Also another note about the elevation, it is tolerable but you likely will feel winded (as everyone mentions) with even minimal exertion if you are overweight, out of shape or have significant heart or lung problems ( the tour advises against going if you have the latter). I flew in and acclimated for a couple days before trying 8000 feet—Estes Park. I tolerated that pretty well so went for it with the continental divide which is 12,000 feet. Would highly recommend overall!! Wish the van was more spacious but understand it has to be fuel efficient and manageable on the mountains as well. Thanks for a great time

Red rock and mountain views

Beautiful day and Mountain View’s. Driver very personable and knowledgeable. Nice group of people on bus.

Red Rock visit issue. Visit not available due to an event. Tour company should have adjusted the route.

PattyAlberti, Oct 2025
The tour guide Zack was good and informative. However the tour company should review the Red Rock arena schedule of events and adjust the tour route accordingly. We did not see the arena due to an event that morning. The event coordinators (run event) would not let us enter. Our tour guide did not know and it was too late to adjust the tour to visit the Red Rock arena later in the day. Very disappointing.

Monica was an awesome guide - very knowledgeable and helpful. Red Rocks, the Continental Divide and Breckenridge were all great. I could have done without Isak Heartstone Troll and Sapphire Point Trail. They were unnecessary.

Excellent, comprehensive tour!

Judith_S, Sept 2025
The stops on the tour were great! We saw a lot -- and covered a lot of ground -- in 7+ hours. Our guide (Timbo) was very nice and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I found his driving quite terrifying. He drove far too fast on the mountain roads as well as on the freeway, and he should not be looking at his phone while driving! Otherwise I'd give this tour five stars. With a safer driver, it would be superb!

Zac was an excellent tour guide! He pointed out noteworthy tidbits on the way to each destination. He was a superb driver! The very long day went by so smoothly thanks to Zac!

Great experience but driver should be more cautious

Norma_H, Sept 2025
All of the sites visited were amazing. Everything was well explained and we had plenty of time to explore. Driver was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He was very prompt, always returning to the pick up point on time. However, he drove too fast and occasionally made abrupt lane changes. He needs to slow down and drive more cautiously. Other than that, i would have rated the experience a 5+

I loved this tour because even the entire drive there was scenic! Our tour guide, Harley, did an amazing job checking weather/ traffic to give us the best experience during a busy holiday weekend! He was filled with fun facts and I learned so much about living in Colorado. This is the perfect tour for people who want to experience Colorado but want to explore at a slower pace and relax while doing it! We had plenty of time at each place and Breckenridge had so many restaurants and stores to explore. I loved it and hope to go back again soon!

Amazing tour

Fun beautiful day!

Great Tour. Our guide Harley had great energy which always makes for a great tour. We were not able to stop at the continental divide but, Harley filled in that time with an another great stop for a photo opt. Great day small group.

Great Day Touring Red Rock, the Continental Divide Love Pass and Breckenridge! Stops along the tour were well planned.

Terrific Day from the minute the tour commenced until ending! Our guide Monica was spectacular! Highly recommend to all!

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for joining us and for your kind words. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the day from start to finish and that Monica made your experience so memorable. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated.

Monica made our day.

Margaret_J, Aug 2025
Fun, informative day with Monica. She had many fun facts about the history of the area and the conversation to and from our destinations was super pleasant. We enjoyed seeing Red Rocks the day before a wonderful Tedeschi Trucks concert 🎶. Enjoyed a great lunch with beers at Breckenridge Highside Brewery. Bartenders were a hoot. Meet their dogs behind the bar. Isaac the troll was special because the same artist apparently did a cool troll in our home state Michigan which we will make sure we visit in our Upper Peninsula. We are called “trolls” because we live downstate under the Mackinaw bridge. Of course. Happy travels Monica.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recap of your day! We’re so glad Monica could make the experience both informative and fun. It sounds like you made the most of every stop and even found a hometown connection in Breckenridge. Wishing you more great adventures ahead!
