We enjoyed this tour as a stop on a Princess Cruise. With a short time in Busan, we wanted to get a sampling of what this amazing city had to offer and we were not disappointed! Our guide, Suki, clearly loved her home town and enjoyed sharing it with us. Our day started early and lasted until we had to get back to the ship. Suki structured our day so that our last stops were close to the cruise port and we could get to the ship without any concern. The day was full of wonderful experiences and left us wanting more time to learn about the city and its inhabitants. I definitely want to go back!

Our Day-Tour to Busan was full, fast, fun and enlightening with lots to see, and our guide Pada (???) did an excellent job under demanding conditions. The tour is set up to take 8+ hours or so, but all six people in our group were from the Diamond Princess cruise ship with only 7 ½ hours available for the tour due to our call to be back on board no later than 3:30 pm. As our group of septuagenarians plodded our way through the day, Pada’s scheduled kept slipping until the group began to worry our 3:30 deadline might not be met, but Pada kept his cool, squeezed in as much of the standard tour as he could, and delivered us back to the ship exactly at 3:00 pm, a full half hour before the ship’s mandate.
As Pada amended the tour on the fly, our day included:
A. 40-minute drive from the cruise port over to East Busan and a wonderful tour of the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, which on its own was well worth the price of the tour.
B. Secondly, we made a somber visit to the United Nations Korean War Cemetery, which served to remind us that 21 member-nations fought this war to preserve the sovereignty of Korea.
C. Our third segment of the tour was a visit to the remarkable Gamcheon Culture Village which has grown out of a camp originally established to house refugees of the Korean War.
D. Pada next delivered us to Korea’s largest fish market located in Busan, where dozens of varieties of sealife are displayed and butchered as customers ate in small back rooms just feet away.
E. Finally Pada squeezed in a visit to an “observatory” which provides the best view available of Busan’s harbor full of boats from around the world.
All of this, and a 30-minute lunch break before we slid back into the cruise terminal 30 minutes in advance of our deadline. Kudos to Pada for a job well-done.
NOTE TO THE EDITOR: Please pass along my apology to Pada for not giving him a tip. I know tips are discouraged and not expeected; however, as an American, I am a compulsive tipper, and Pada was certainly worthy for his efforts. I simply had no cash on hand (neither Korean nor American) to offer him. When we travel in a foreign country, particularly for just a day, I carry only a single VISA card for anything we might buy and avoid holding any cash. Please convey to Pada my regrets. I don’t want him to think his kindness and hard work were not appreciated.

We did not know what to expect in Busan, after spending several days in Japan. Much to our surprise, it was one of our favorite ports. We had a private tour for five people and it was worth every penny!
Our guide, Thousand, was very personable, spoke good English and was very anxious to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see.
We first went to a large shrine that was so colorful and surrounded by beautiful lush greenery. Next, we went to the only United Nations cemetery in the world. It was so beautifully landscaped and very moving to see how many men from around the world gave their lives in the name of freedom. For lunch, we went to a delicious Korean barbecue (not in the price of the tour). It was delicious and we loved the experience of the many unusual flavors available. Also interesting was the huge fish market we walked through, followed by a tour of the city and the spectacular bridges.
We truly enjoyed this tour and our excellent guide, Thousand!

Small group tour is the best way to go. On a tour like this you get personal care and the opportunity to take photos without the crowds. Being a local our guide Jason was able to take us to sites away from the crowds. One day was just too short to visit Busan, yet we spent enough time to fall in love with the places, the people, the food and want to go back.
Suki, our guide, covered both the new, modern sites starting with the famous Skywalk and ending with the old part of the city. Never seen a fish market so clean, and food was so delicious. In one van, there were people from four continents Canada, New Zealand, U.K., and South Korea, all having a good time in Busan and enjoying the company of each other.

Tour guide was waiting outside the cruise terminal doors and returned in good time. Tour guide was great fun and we laughed a lot whilst touring many of Busan's highlights. Many more than you would get on a cruise tour due to the small group. Plenty of toilet opportunities too. Driver was adept at navigating traffic and small side streets and we felt safe at all times. Beautiful city, amazing sites and learnt so much about South Korea. Well done to our guides.

Seb our guide had was a great communicator from the day before and throughout the tour. He was very friendly and personable, it felt like we had met him before. He adapted to our requests and was able to make suggestions to improve our day. It was always about us and what we wanted. For lunch we went to a local Korean BBQ restaurant that was excellent and very budget friendly. If you do this tour you should request Seb.

Our tour guide “Finn” met us as instructed at the cruise terminal as arranged. He was friendly, very well spoken and polite. We were escorted to a van with 4 other cruise passengers to start our tour to the Haedong Yonggung Temple and given some of the local history of Korea and Busan. We travelled the entire city throughout the day stopping for refreshments and visiting a famous Village located in the old part of the city of Busan. Lunch and time for shopping with visits to the largest fish market were highlights ending the day on a high note. Everything was planned and well organized, we felt the tour was excellent value and would highly recommend to any visitor to Busan. My only problem was it was sometimes difficult for me to hear as his voice did not carry far, but it did not interfere with my overall satisfaction.

Excellent tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, nothing was too much trouble for her and she adjusted the visiting times according to the tour party’s requirements. She was absolutely brilliant and I would recommend this tour in Busan, especially if you’re on a first time visit and want to see the best of what’s possible as you may not know what to expect. The trip was fantastic value for money compared with the cost of the shore excursion being offered by the cruise company.
They guarantee to get you back to the ship in plenty of time for departure and they delivered on everything they promised.
Really rate aviator and will willingly use them again.

We were very concerned about the weather on our excursion day. However, our guide did an excellent job of making the couple of hours of rain a great tour. He carried us places that the weather would not be a factor. He was very informative and spoke English well. He met us on time at the cruise terminal and returned us 30 minutes before the (all aboard call.) Which many of us were getting concerned about the time. This tour was educational and very informative. There was not just a tremendous amount of walking but . It made for a great day in South Korea.

It was a six passenger van. We were a party of four. You need dexterity to be able to get in and out of the van. The guide was very personable. The shrine was fantastic as was the overlook. But you must be able to climb steps. We had a beautiful day.

We were in a group of six. Our guide was flexible and gave us choices that we agreed on. He spoke English fairly well.
