This was a great tour. There were four of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed this ride out of Belfast to the Causeway. The country is beautiful. We had plenty of stops and our driver told great stories about the history of Ireland. The bus was comfortable with plenty of legroom. He pointed out sites as he drove and we also stopped at the walls in Belfast to take pics before heading back to our ship. Our guide is really why we all enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend this excursion!

Patrick our guide and driver was great. Lots of history, information and stories. The giants causeway and country side was amazing.

Decent excursion, our driver kept trying to make us feel bad that we were two hours late, but we were not our ship was not due in until 10 AM. He kept saying he got there at seven for us to be on board at eight. Well that was never the plan and Witte knew this why the transportation company told their driver to be there two hours early. No one ever knew but he mentioned it several times throughout the day how we were late because of our being late and how lucky we were that we got our entire excursion in well we were important until 830 at night our tour was from 10 until 530. The bus was very bumpy whether you sat in the front or the back it was extremely uncomfortable. There was heat pouring out out of the floor vents and air coming out of the top so in one instant, you were way hot and in the other, you were way cold there was no happy medium. We visited giant Causeway that was nice. We were supposed to be able to walk on the suspension bridge but that area is no longer open to anything but a private automobile no TOUR bus no matter what the size can go down and walk on the suspension bridge we were very disappointed we toured all around Belfast in the countryside and then we had a bit of city TOUR with comments at the end on our way back to the ship all in all a nice day, but extremely uncomfortable temperature wise comfort level on the bus and being made to feel like we were running late all day because of a problem with the time our ship arrived again. Our ship was scheduled to arrive at 10 AM that is how we booked the tour to be picked up at the port at 10 AM.

Hello Diane
Thank you for your feed back
We can only apologise for the driver going on about your ship arriving late. We did inform him the ship was arriving at 8.00am and we would be departing around 8.30am.
We took our information romThe Belfast Harbour Cruise schedule
14/08/2026 08:00-19:00 NCL NORWEGIAN SKY 259 Belfast Cruise Terminal 3,297
Either way no matter who was at fault Belfast Harbour, our staff or the ship, it should not have effected your tour. We do travel on coastal and country roads and a smooth ride is impossible, but we will checkout the suspension for any faults. Not sure how he managed to get the heating and the air con working at the same time as they are on the same controls, we will get it checked.
Sorry you were under the impression you could cross the Bridge as it is not on the itinerary as all tour buses have been denied access to the site since 2022.

Though it was a rainy and cloudy day, Steve made it very special. The causeway was still quite amazing. Steve was prompt and provided plenty of time to explore each stop. Very nice coach to ride in!
Brittany_H, Aug 2026
It was true to the description. It was in fact a small bus and our tour had 20 people, although it could have taken a few more. It was very comfortable on the bus.
The tour guide was great, knowledgeable and had a good balance of info and relax time. Loved the 1.5 hrs at Giants Causeway. It allowed enough time to do either walk. The lunch was fantastic. I was thinking the food wouldn’t be great because the view was so nice, but it was. We skipped the Belfest drive around and honestly I preferred that after seeing so many things. All around great tour.

This was a disappointing day. To be fair, some of the problems were not the fault of the operator or driver but other things could have been handled better. To start with the pros: it was an extra legroom bus and we did get to see the Giants Causeway and we had about 1.5 hours there so plenty of time. It’s an amazing place and I truly recommend going there. Now for the cons: Communication from the tour operator could have been much better. I informed them of our ship arrival time as instructed and was told the tour would start shortly after arrival but when we got off the ship at 7 am we waited 45 minutes for our driver to show up. They said the ship was early but the arrival time per our ship information had not changed. Then the bus broke before we left the parking lot so waiting for the new bus put us another 35-40 minutes later. There was a festival in Belfast and we understood that it would affect our tour of the city. What we did not expect is that the driver would tell us that we had to skip the coastal drive along the Antrim coast road. Driver said it was because of the festival but with a little research I found no delays or backups on the coast road due to the festival. It is possible that our all aboard time may have made the timing too tight but why not just tell us that? Better yet, communicate in advance that we might not get to do the coast road. I felt like I was being lied to. Then there was lunch. The description clearly stated that we would be taken to Ballycastle where would would have about an hour on our own to walk the town, visit a pub, get lunch or whatever. Instead, we were driven through town, taken up on a hill to a remote hotel and spa and ushered inside for lunch at the restaurant at our own expense (not cheap). We did have two nice short stops for pictures along the coast near Giants Causeway (a castle ruins and a bridge). Upon return to Belfast (via the same inland freeway route we took out) the driver did his best to give us a city tour going to places that were not closed due to the festival and that was nice. We returned to the port earlier than expected but with plenty of time before all aboard. Overall the tour was not as expected.

Hello Teah
Thank you for your feedback
Your ship arrived at 7.00am one hour earlier than the advertised time of 8.00am on Belfast Harbours website.
08/08/2026 08:00-17:00 HAL ZUIDERDAM 285 Belfast Cruise Terminal 2,781
Our first bus was at the port at 7.15am and the second at 7.45am both buses arrived early for a 8.00am docking time. We had an issue with one of the buses, when the driver opened the side locker to put in a passengers walking aid the hinge came loose and he could not get it back in place. We decided to use a replacement bus, which we always keep free when providing Shore Excursions for such unforeseen issues (anyone with a vehicle will inderstand they can be unpredictable).
Our replacement bus arrived in approx 30 mins. Your tour departed shortly before 8.30am the advertised time for the tour departure. Some people would say this was a fantastic acheivement from our staff on the day. You were not lied to at any point during the day, all passenger were updated during the day with the facts as they were happening.
As August is peak tourism season we have to book venues that can handle groups and guarantee good food at reasonable prices within our time constraints.
The road closure was due to a festival taking place in the glens of Antrim.
Serious Traffic Delays on Saturday 8th August 2026.
(Ballyeamon Road Closed 12.30pm-3.30pm
Unfortunately your little research missed the fact there were road closures.
Our main priority is getting all passengers back to the port safely and on time for the ships departure. returning via the coastal route would have been to much of a risk and we could have missed the ship sailing.
That is a decision our staff have to make, we cannot permit an individual passenger or Google to make those decisions.
The problems you highlighted were out of our control and we believe our staff dealt with the situation very professionally.
Sorry you felt it was not good enough.
Regards

Our driver/tour guide was excellent. He kept us ahead if the crowds, was very informative and made the best of a rainy day. The lunch stop was excellent.
Tracy_M, Jul 2026
Giants Causeway is fascinating! We had fog and a little drizzle, diminishing visibility but the tour was great. Opted for the shuttle bus due to the weather.
Sandra_O, Jul 2026
Paddy our driver was great! We had an amazing day with plenty of time to see all of what the tour promised. It was an easy tour to do as a cruise passenger. Can't recommend enough! Highly recommend
Sandy_L, Jul 2026
Phenomenal tour! Great bus with great leg room as described! Driver was very enjoyable and informative. They were right outside our cruise boat for easy pickup and dropoff. Beautiful day and even place to eat was delicious! Giants causeway was stunning! Definitely recommend this tour.
Donna_S, Jul 2026
We chose this excursion because we’ve previously been to Belfast. The guide/driver, Stephen, was very informative and skilled. The Giants Causeway was amazing but be prepared for huge numbers of ill-mannered tourists who don’t understand a queue and instead push and shove to get on the return shuttle from the pickup point and the end of the tour. Our tour did not include Cushendall or the Glens of Antrim. I believe this was due to the ship docking late but this wasn’t explained on the tour. We appreciated the guide’s Game of Thrones knowledge as we are big fans and his personal perspective living in the area was insightful. The brief swing through Belfast was a great way to end the tour but seeing Dunluce Castle was my favorite part of tour.

Hello Donna
Thank you for your review
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with other tourists. Your ship docked late and we had to make adjustments to the itinerary to ensure we got back to the ship on time. If we had completed the full itinerary it would not have been possible to return to the ship on time. Sorry you were disappointed, we did our very best within the time available to us.

Enjoyed the sights very much. Absolutely beautiful landscape. Our guide was ok. He knew how to drive but his commentary wasn’t particularly authoritative or well presented. Nevertheless, we are glad we did the tour.
Judella_W, Jun 2026
That you are not going on the rope bridge. That was the reason I choose this tour. Soo dissapointing.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Hello Judella
Sorry you were disappointed
Nowhere on our site do we advertise crossing the bridge. We do as part of our itinerary visit a view point were you can see the bridge from a distance. It would not matter which tour you chose from Belfast as none visit the rope bridge
All tour buses have been denied access to the bridge.
Regards

Beautiful view, great itinerary, terrific driver and guide, Steven. Giants Causeway is an absolutely must see
Richard_E, Jun 2026
This is a great tour, super well organized and our driver, Stephen was an excellent tour guide. We did the extra legroom bus which made for a very comfortable journey. We arrived at most of the top spots prior to the large buses which gave us a great opportunity to see the sites without as many people.
Minta_D, Jun 2026
We had Stephen for a tour guide. I swear, if my Mother had her way, she would have taken him with us the rest of our trip. Quite frankly, I agree with her. He was well spoken and had cracked jokes along the way. The country was absolutely phenomenal. The bus had plenty of leg room and wasn't cramped at all. We were one of the first on the site of The Giants Causeway so it wasn't very crowded. Bring some money for the shuttle bus; you'll definitely want it for the trip back to the top. They stopped at a very nice hotel for a prearranged lunch instead of following the buses to the usual spot. We had a couple of lunch options to choose from. There was a full bar available as well. The deserts looked amazing. Nothing felt rushed and they made sure everyone was counted for before setting off to the next spot. At the end they dropped us off at our cruise ship. It was one of my absolute favorite port stops we made thanks to this tour company.
Karen_S, May 2026
There is a reasonable price shuttle once there, believe, 1 Euro one way. I walked down & shuttled back.
Wish my husband would have shuttled both ways.
drritaw, May 2026
Lots of walking at the causeway. But you can take a shuttle down and back up. The tour was very good in all aspects. Thank you
I really want to give thanks to our driver Paul. He found my credit card. I didnt even know I had lost it until I got back on the cruise ship when I received a message from the cruise guest services that my credit card had been found and was in their safe!! Thank you Paul for your integrity.
Kathleen_S, May 2026
The guide/driver was excellent and told us lots of information about the history of the area and the facts about what sites we visited.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you Kathleen
mojean25, May 2026
Fantastic tour. The entire tour process was very organized, much better than Princess. The smaller bus is the way to go, making it easier and quicker allowing more time at the sights. The lunch stop was in a beautiful location with great service and food. So happy we booked this tour, they are very professional and will get you back in time. Would definitely book this again.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for a lovely review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed everything, from booking right through.
David_E, May 2026
Excellent tour, would definitely do this again. It checked all the boxes, good for active folks, amazing scenery and fun guide. Paul was hilarious.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you David. Glad you enjoyed your tour and your day with Paul. Thanks for the review.
Bruce_D, May 2026
The pick up started a little shaky as I was given the wrong bus number with the pick up instructions so I had to walk around to the various busses to figure out which one we were on. Once that was resolved, it was all up from there. The bus was very comfortable (a smaller Mercedes bus with extra leg room), the itinerary was great (we loved Giant's Causeway), the lunch spot we were taken to was fast and delicious....and best of all, our driver, Paul, was fantastic and made this one of the best tours we have been on. He was fun, engaging and even sang an Irish song to us. 10 out of 10 recommend a tour with Paul!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you Bruce for the lovely review. Paul is brilliant guide and not a bad singer!
Frances_S, May 2026

Excursion started on time at 8am. Was back on my ship after 7 hours. Was given ample time at each location as promised. Ate lunch at a really nice restaurant, with affordable prices, and awesome views. Enjoyed the excursion and highly recommend it.

Thanks Adelle for the lovely review.

Just great. A small group and Paul was awesome. Will definitely recommend this tour. All was in time.
Susan_C, Oct 2025
Experience was convenient and worthwhile. The bus ride was comfortable. Thank you for the kind service.
Kathy_G, Sept 2025
we opted for Viator’s tour, rather than the comparable tour offered by our cruise line. It was half the price, but longer and included more stops. Our excellent driver, Stephen, multitask and acted as driver and tour guide. He did a great job, and his mission seemed to be to get his passengers to the site before the other big cruise buses. It worked! We had open viewing of the Giants Causeway hundreds of people poured in.
It didn’t hurt that we had perfect weather. Plenty of time to explore and have a pint in the pub there before heading on for a quick lunch break in Bushmill.
The drive-through the northern Ireland countryside was beautiful and he was a very proficient driver.
Michael_Q, Sept 2025
Friendly, knowledgeable guides and tour was exactly as described. Wonderful experience and learned so much about Irish history.
John_M, Sept 2025
Wonderful tour, we'll organized and views were breathtaking. Our driver, Pat was great - informative, funny and attentive. We had a great time!
Ian_M, Sept 2025
This tour by Odyssey provided a very good option for visiting The Giants Causeway among other included places. The extra legroom along with smaller numbers was a boon. Stephen guide and driver was both informative and entertaining. His local knowledge proved
advantageous concerning arrival times at the various locations.
Patrick_C, Sept 2025
Guide was involved, loud enough, knew his local info/data and planned ahead for easy access to food and loo facilities. Also, guide gave a balanced and insightful description of the history, timeline, and motivations behind ‘The Troubles”.
