What are people saying about Verona

Hot day treat
What a fantastic treat for a hot day! Learning how to make gelato and sorbet was easier than I thought and so many options to flavor them. Thank you for also opening our eyes to the additional toppings to enhance the flavors (balsamic, pink pepper, salt, etc). Our chef was exceptional at the explanations and questions. Looking forward to trying these at home. Highly recommend this experience and it would be fun for a family!

History is always around us in Italy
Bring change for the public restrooms. .70EU to enter public restroom across from the meeting point. Very hot day, drank plenty of water and stay in the shade. Verona has plenty of porticos and shade sometimes a small lane but it works. Antoinette was extremely knowledgeable about Italian and Roman history. She powered through amazingly the very hot tour with patience and energy.

This tour was everything...
This tour was everything we expected and more! Our tour guide Rommina was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly and it was clear that her main goal was for us to learn about the towns and to have a blast, which surely happened! We started the day at our meeting point at 8:50 am in Verona, which was easy to find. The bus ride there was comfortable and went by fast with introductions. Once we got off the bus in Sirmione, Rommina walked us around all the good spots and then let us go free for a couple of hours before the boat, which was perfect for shopping and grabbing something for lunch. The boat ride was very enjoyable and she gave us more information on the lake and towns surrounding. From there, we got off the boat in Lazise and spent a short amount of time there before heading back. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Verona. My friend and I both agree that it was worth every penny. Grazie mille, Rommina!

Fantastic tour of Arena di Verona.
Frank was a fantastic tour guide! He had such enthusiasm and he engaged with members of the group directly multiple times. Frank shared the history of the arena and had a small folder of pictures that helped in telling the stories. We thoroughly enjoyed it!!

This is a fantastic food...
This is a fantastic food tour of Verona. There are two local delicacies in this area. The first is donkey meat and the second is should we ask if we horse meat. On this tour you were able to get both or neither if you like! I had both and they were delicious. Donkey ragu and then horse stew with polenta. Also had nice anti pasta to start and gelato to finish. Our guide, Martina, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and personable and such a great person

Outstanding
This pasta class was an absolute highlight of our entire trip. We didn’t expect it to stand out this much—but it truly did.
We loved the hands-on cooking experience in a warm, welcoming kitchen where we actually learned a real skill together. It was fun, relaxed, and something we’ll genuinely recreate at home.
The bits of history about traditional balsamic added a lovely touch and made the experience feel even more authentic. The food and tastings were delicious throughout, and the wine was flowing, which made everything feel festive but still relaxed.
After a week of traveling, the home-cooked meal was an especially welcome and delicious treat.
Our 19-year-old said it was her favorite activity of the trip, and our 13-year-old loved learning something new he could actually do again. For a family with teenagers, that’s saying a lot.
A memorable, fun, and authentic experience we’d highly recommend.

Verona/Learn ABout Regional Italian Wines
We toured and did tastings at two local wineries in the Valpolicella region. The owners toured and conducted the tasting, asking for our opinion about the wines. Learned alot about the Amarone and Valpolicella grapes and some of the strict regulations on the finer wines. Great day and great wine! We shipped some back home!

Verona walk and food tour
Great, leisurely walking tour all around the city of Verona, with delicious food stops along the way. Aurora (spelling?) was a pleasant guide. Between food stops, she pointed out several significant city sites, providing historical details. We also received plenty of food/restaurant recommendations for us to try during our two-week stay in Verona.

Fabulous well organised Venice day trip from Limone
Efficient and on time pick up from said location in Limone with a friendly well organised escort .
Three hour coach ride but stopped twice en route for comfort break.
Advised that 10 euro pp was required for entry into Venice now on a Fri, sat or Sunday we paid on coach en route to Venice . It was
So well organised that when we arrived Venice mainland the boat transfer was waiting to take us straight across to Venice . On arrival in Venice the tax was paid on our behalf and sorted by the tour escort so no hassle at all .
The hour walking tour we were given headphones and radios and really informative shown the main sites before then having a couple of hours free time to return to areas already pointed out on the tour ourselves .
The Advice given by the guide was informative advising cheaper places to eat etc and if you needed the toilet to pay 1.5 euro to use toilets in Venice but all really useful to know .
Guide also arranged the gondola for 90 euros on the coach in advance and although you have to share it cheaper this way and organised and booked so he just showed us the gondola station to be at at a certain time and when we arrived the queue was so long but having had him book it we went straight to the front and got on . He admitted you may be able to do it locally slightly cheaper but tbh it was so well organised it went like clockwork and then he gave us the return meeting point back by the hotel near the boat station amazing !
Boat on time straight back across water to coach and then once again a comfort stop en route back to Limone .
Yes it’s a long day but tbh it was wonderful and so well organised , safe driver and there was only 21 people in the group but a 53 seater coach provided so lots of room to spread out which made it more comfortable as well . Claude I think was the driver and the guide I think was called Romeu ?? But fabulous ! Well done we went on 24/4/26 and Venice was scorching hot that made it !

We saw and learned so much about Verona!
We saw and learned so much about Verona's history, from roman times to present. Without this tour how would we have ever seen the ruins of the original roman wall and part of a home, inside a Benetton Store. We will look forward to soon seeing the closing ceremonies of the olympics in the roman amphitheater and can say "we were there".

Seeing and experiencing the Dolomites is imperative!
We left before daylight on this very long bus trip from Desenzano, del Garda. But, even before we boarded the bus we enjoyed gorgeous pre-sunrise views. The gentleman running the tour was very sweet natured, extremely informative regarding the history of all the areas we passed, and perhaps a bit verbose. We made a morning stop in a great little cafe with reasonably priced cappuccino and croissants. So delicious I went back for seconds on both. It’s a long trip, very long — some of the towns we stopped in were touristy end of little interest to me. But as we drew closer to the mountain peaks, the views became magnificent, there so many beautiful formations to see. The tram up to the top is a must. The ride was smooth and it was exciting looking out and seeing the changes as we went up higher. At the very top, there was snow and it was quite cold. Make sure you have a hat, gloves, scarf and a warm jacket ( the tour was at the end of September). The views are majestic in all directions. There were several paragliders that were fun to watch. At the top is a little restaurant where I warmed up with some hot chocolate. We had the most competent bus driver imaginable, as that we went around many hairpin turns on narrow roads during our journey. We left before 7am and returned after 7pm. We stopped briefly in a touristy town afterwards and enjoyed an interesting museum with fantastic wood sculptures — saw some amazing sights in a church. After we went to the top of the mountain, I would have chosen to head back since the day was a bit too long.

5 stars – A Very Special Wine Tasting Experience with Stunning Views
This was a truly special experience that I’ll never forget. The Corte San Mattia wine tasting was personal, peaceful, and beautifully curated. I happened to be the only person on the tour that day, which made it feel even more exclusive and intimate.
The estate is absolutely beautiful – perched on a hill with panoramic views over Verona. It's not just a winery, but also a working farm, restaurant, and guesthouse, making it a perfect retreat for those interested in agritourism or sustainable travel.
My guide, Magdelina, was warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She explained each wine in detail and told me exactly which food to pair with each one. The pairings were thoughtful and elevated the tasting experience — the wines were high-quality, and the food was both generous and delicious. Magdelina also kindly took many great photos of me throughout the tour, which was a lovely bonus.
I also took time to explore the estate afterward and found a beautiful panoramic pool — the views were absolutely stunning, and the warm weather made it feel like a little slice of paradise.
One important note: there are no hotel pickups, so you’ll need to arrange your own transport. I took a taxi from Verona which cost around €30 each way. Something to keep in mind — but honestly, it was more than worth it.
Highly recommended for wine lovers, foodies, or anyone wanting to enjoy an authentic, scenic, and relaxing experience just outside Verona
