Long day but incredibly worth it!
Amandine our driver and guide was incredible!! She spent 13 hours with us and 8 of those hours driving and she did a phenomenonal job. We had so many stops and photo opportunities and the Milford Sound cruise was just spectacular. It was well worth the long trip. The picnic lunch was also really really good. Couldn't recommend Altitude Tours any more!!! Amazing!!

Saw glow worms!
I was worried about the entrance to the cave because it was low and I wasn’t sure if my family and I would feel claustrophobic once in it, but it was only a short distance and it opened up. Once in, we enjoyed the walk to the boat. We saw an eel! We had enough time to sit in the dark and see the glow worms. Only wish we had time at the end to do the nature walk. Probably a short walk, but it would have been nice to do it.

It is a long drive both...
It is a long drive both ways - be prepared to spend 10 hours in the van. Lots of stops along the way though, excellent boxed lunch, snacks & water on the bus, first aid kit (even had motion sickness pills!) & the driver was very knowledgeable.
The boat tour was simply spectacular. The driver & crew were great. There were several larger vessels but ours was a smaller size which was great.

Epic Experience!! ❤️🏔️
It is worth the travel out to Milford. If you are not booking a cruise in Milford you have no real business driving that long because there isn’t much to do there apart from the cruise. It was a very spacious port with three levels there is a down floor level a middle level and a top deck and on all levels you could sit outside and go outside and take photographs and videos. It was very informative and captain was also commentating as he sailed along and told us stuff that we wouldn’t have seen or found out unless he had told us about it. He was also quite humourous and made relaxed about smelling the hot fresh pies from the cafe/bar on board that he was craving for his lunch LOL XD. The cruise was 1 to 1.5 hours long but he wanted to kill a bit of time so ours took 2 to 2 1/2 hours which was epic. Would definitely do it again. PURE MILFORD ALL THE WAY! ❤️❤️

A Brilliant Boutique Milford Sound Cruise
We really enjoyed our Milford Sound cruise. The smaller boat made it feel much more relaxed and the amenities on board were great. The skipper was fantastic very witty, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Such a fun and memorable way to experience Milford Sound. Would definitely recommend!

Scenic Cruise on Beautiful Historic Steam Ship with Sumptuous Gourmet BBQ Lunch!
The beautiful historic steam ship cruise on the Wakatipu Lake was scenic. You can walk around the ship upper and lower deck and learn how it is operated. Beverage and a snacks can be purchased on board. We stopped at Walter Peak for a sumptuous BBQ lunch. Not your typical BBQ but a good spread of food with appetisers, salads, main course and desserts! Wasn’t expecting all that delicious food! You get to wander around the farm after lunch and watch sheep being sheared. Everything was well organised and we enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this activity while in Queenstown! Also worth mentioning the staff at RealNZ office in Queenstown was wonderful. I had double booked the activity and she was so helpful to arrange cancellation of the double booking and reminded me to follow up to ensure I get my refund. Thank you all for a great experience!

Absolutely MIND-BLOWING! 🤯✨ This experience was worth every single dollar!
From start to finish, the entire process was completely seamless. Everything was so well organised and effortless, which meant we could just sit back and take it all in. The flight through the snow-covered glaciers was honestly one of the most incredible things we’ve ever experienced..the scenery was completely surreal. Towering mountains, endless glaciers and views that genuinely looked too beautiful to be real.
And then arriving in Milford Sound and experiencing the cruise was something so incredibly special. The combination of flying through this spectacular landscape and then seeing Milford Sound from the water was just unforgettable.
Without a doubt, one of the absolute highlights of our time in Queenstown. If you’re considering doing this, DO IT! Worth every cent and an experience we’ll be talking about for years to come. 🏔️❄️✈️🚢✨

Thankyou.
Absolutely amazing day. From pick up to drop off, we enjoyed the whole trip. For a long 12 hr day, not once were we disappointed or felt the day drag. Our driver was amazing, the views spectacular from the beginning, the cruise was a once in a lifetime experience, not one complaint. Comfortable bus ride and amazing nature views. 1000% recommend.
Thankyou pure Milford.

Unforgettable
Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the journey into Milford and back. We went on a rainy day and there really were 1000’s of waterfalls. I don’t know how anything can better that experience. The Milford Haven was fantastic and the staff were excellent.

Love it.
At first, I was really nervous because I was worried I might get thrown out of the boat, especially when it started turning! But once I found my bearings and got comfortable, I was able to relax and really enjoy the experience. By the end, I was even confident enough to put my arms up while the boat was turning! Such a fun and thrilling experience! I’d definitely do it again!

Mind-blowing
What an amazing trip! Took a helicopter and completed a tour across the ice. Felt otherworldly. Ruby was our guide. She was so capable and cheerful. It was clear that she really enjoyed her job. The scenery was just amazing. Well worth the price. An incredible experience.

Excellent Cruise on Milford Sound
We had a wonderful two hour cruise around the Milford Sound. The captain gave a great narration throughout the cruise. Educational and entertaining. There were not too many people on board, so one could easily move around to different areas of the boat.
