Koalas & Penguins Aplenty
The excursion experiences were great and Vicky, our tour guide, did a nice job narrating the trip; would definitely recommend this one.

loved the Koala habitat...
loved the Koala habitat and could have used another 15 minutes or so there! it was a foggy evening and we did not see the 450 penguins that were predicted to come out of the water to their burrows. we saw about 20, and that was at too much of a distance.

Penguins are the star of this show
The driver was very helpful. He was also very entertaining. The bus was nice and clean. The penguins of course were the stars. Highly recommend this tour

Anthony, our tour guide +...
Anthony, our tour guide + driver is friendly, resourceful and charming man who practiced safe driving, update us continously & helpful. The only unfortunate thing which is out of anyone's control is the unpredictable weather as it rains at Cowes and Nobies when we are not very done with the tour.

Tour
An amazing experience! Loved the koalas, kangaroos and snakes. The wildlife escort was very informative and helped us locate the wildlife for viewing. The penguin march was adorable! Coco was a very personable driver. Felt extremely safe in his driving ability.

Outstanding tour
Craig who was our driver and guide did an outstanding trip. The main concern was safety of the passages. Several 5 star items..pickup at selected hotels, no rush stops, bus driver/guide interaction with the guest's, bust locations to go when stopped at visited locations and having a great personality. Thank you

Must do excursion
This was a wonderful excursion and a must do. Phillips island is a quaint location and worth the short trek from Melbourne. Nice sightseeing spots for pictures and beautiful views. The penguins were the highlight of course. Take layers of clothing and a beanie hat. It was windy and a regular hat or cap will blow off your head. It can get quite chilly at night by the water.

Awesome day
It was a great day! Paul was our tour guide and he was awesome. Once he parked the bus he offered to take whatever guests that wanted a tour of whatever stop we were at. This was helpful as he knew what to look for and where to look. He also wasn’t in a rush at the end of the day giving us ample opportunity to observe the penguins on their journey back up to their Knowles. Got to see lots of wallaby’s along the way. The koalas were adorable.

Please make note that...
Please make note that Wildlife Tours Australia and Autopia are the same company when meeting to get on the bus. I was waiting there for about 20 minutes while everyone was getting on their tour buses and I asked 2 other operators if the Wildlife Tours bus was coming and they said it should be and to just wait there. Another family also booked the same tour/company and was waiting. It wasn’t until the tour guide for Autopia started naming off our names and told us to get on those buses. Unfortunately that meant I was the last one on the bus in the back row and I get motion sickness. Sadly no one would trade with me though. Thankfully I brought snacks and water, motion sickness patches and Dramamine. I would advise the company to be more clearer for the meet up! Since I was one of the first people waiting, I could have not been in the back of the bus.
This tour was great and Phillips Island was beautiful. There weren’t too many penguins sadly. I think I would have preferred a small group of 10 rather than 39 people on one big bus. We couldn’t even hear the tour guide in the back of the bus either.

Can’t control nature
We traveled via comfortable bus learning some
History about Melbourne and surrounding areas which was great! The beachside town of Cowes was very nice and we had time to explore and eat. The Koala Sanctuary was amazing! We got to see so many of them but the best part was seeing the newborn Joey and Mom!!! The penguin parade was the only disappointing part. Unfortunately we cannot control nature and we only saw maybe 4 penguins. But that definitely made it less than 5 star experience since that was the main reason we purchased tour. However, our driver/tour guide Lauren was wonderful and we were blessed with the koala experience and beautiful weather and temps.
