In Good Hands

Booked with Mario Safari, staff was right where the instructions stated, at the end of tents at the tender pier from the cruise ship. We were directed to a blue Mazda pickup truck. Toma was our guide who works with Frankie Frank tours but was put in service by Mario. Toma told us a few jokes and said get ready to climb for our 1st stop. And climb we did. A narrow road with switchbacks had my wife clinging to the grab bars, one side cliff face and the other drop offs. We got to the top and Toma told us about Magic Mountain and pointed to the walking path to the top. Magnificent views greeted us and provided postcard level pictures. Down the mountain to a shop for local jam tasting, then off to a local distillery for a tour and tasting. On the way back we stopped at a local beach, Toma providing a great narrative at each stop. Overall, a great afternoon. Special thanks to Toma who provided extra comfort to my wife who was absolutely freaked at the climb up the mountain. She said he's got magnificent blue eyes also.

Duh! We swam with sharks!!!

An amazing day with our guide Ta’i. Small group size and awesome weather. Picked us up and dropped us off near our cruise ship. Being on the sand bar before other excursions got there was incredible. My husband loves to snorkel and is a strong swimmer, but me…not so much. Being able to walk around on the sand bar with the black tip sharks and rays was an unbelievable experience for me!

The Most Amazing Experience Swimming with Humpback Whales

This was the most amazing experience ever. Swimming with humpback whales was so beautiful and indescribable to be so close to the whale baby and momma. Our ocean/snorkel guide Kevin was so fun and helped make the experience go smoothly for swimming in deep ocean with these beautiful animals. Truly the best experience and unforgettable. The boat ride is very choppy so if you get sea sick this isn’t for you. Luckily my husband and I love boating and don’t get sea sick. It was perfect! The boats have to stay 100 m away from the whales so you do have to swim out to the whales to have your close encounter. It was incredible, we had a group of six people on our boat and we were able to go out into the ocean and snorkel with the momma and baby whale twice. We were only about 10-20 ft away from them. 10/10 recommend this amazing experience! This is through Moorea Activities Center in Opunohu Bay. They were amazing! (we also booked our ATV and jet ski/snorkel tour with them) And you get a beverage at the end.

The views are worth the ride!!

First of all our driver/guide was fabulous! His name was Tomma (sorry if I misspelled it). Do yourself a favor and request him. We went to several areas with magnificent views. The ride was a little rough but well worth it. There were scattered rain showers but our driver adjusted his route and we dodged all of them and still managed to see everything.

Wonderful experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such an amazing experience with Moorea Activities Center! We did both the jet ski and ATV tours, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting Moorea. Our first tour was the jet ski tour with Kiki, and he was a fantastic guide! He took us around Moorea and gave us plenty of opportunities to have fun on the jet skis while still making sure everyone was safe. We rode through the turtle channel, where we got to see so many sea turtles, and then stopped at a beautiful sandbar near Cook’s Bay where we were able to get up close to blacktip reef sharks and stingrays. Such an incredible experience! Our second tour was the ATV tour with Mata, who was also a great guide. We rode around the island, stopped to see and even touch eels, and made our way up to Belvedere Point for absolutely breathtaking views. We finished with a stop at a local restaurant where we got to sample local jams and drinks, which was a really fun addition to the tour. One thing to keep in mind is the timing if you’re visiting Moorea for the day. We were there from approximately 9:30 AM–3:30 PM, so if you need to catch a ferry or are visiting from a cruise ship, definitely plan accordingly. Another thing I really appreciated was that they took LOTS of pictures throughout both tours and uploaded them online quickly for us to access for free. That was such a nice touch and gave us so many great memories without having to worry about taking pictures ourselves the entire time. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely book with Moorea Activities Center again on a future trip to Moorea!

Excellent morning!

Kiki was a great guide on the water showing us the two bays and helping us find turtles, black tip sharks and rays in the water. He knew the water and respected the sea life. You spend lots of time on a jet ski moving fast so you should be comfortable on the water. Thrilling to encounter a stingray. Incredible day. Highly recommend!

Super-fun day on the water

This was absolutely the most fun day on the water I’ve ever had - in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. An awesome guide, interesting stops with bits of history, we stopped & snorkelled with sharks, a friendly ray, coral & fish, then zoomed back with incredible views the whole way. Quick shower, change, juice & chat and laugh about what fun it was and who went the fastest. So fun. FYI I’m 60 & husband is 70 and we had an absolute blast, so age is not a barrier. Thanks so much!

One of the best days on Moorea

So Much Fun!!

This is a fantastic tour and so much fun. The tour company is professional and really took care of us. We saw things that were unique to Moorea and places the average person would never see if they just explored on their own. Don't hesitate - do it!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!

Highly recommend!!

We had an exceptional time one the quad/jetski tour. Both of our tour guides were knowledgeable and kind. We don’t speak French, so we were grateful both guides spoke great English and were able to answer all our questions! They take pictures for you as you go, and post them on their facebook page so you can have them for free. They turned out amazing!!

Best Excursion Ever!

I’ve been on a lot of excursions, I can’t remember when I had such a wonderful time. The jet ski experience was amazing. Everything from interacting with dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays and sharks was phenomenal. It was a three hour long jet ski ride and was just perfect. The ATV was nothing short of a wonderful experience as well. We saw a lot of the island and went up to places we definitely couldn’t hike to. The staff was top-notch. I highly recommend the excursion for anyone that wants to spend the day seeing the best of Moorea.

Great highlights!

Mata was a wonderful guide- you can tell he gets a ton of joy out of showing people around the island. We made fun stops, and had incredible views at all of the main points. Would highly recommend! When booking through viator, we did not get a separate pickup time so we assumed it was the same as the start time and had to switch to an afternoon tour. Everything worked out, but something to keep in mind.
