Less commercial, personal gem
When you arrive at the coffee plantation shop, you wouldn’t be at fault for thinking you were being shown around someone’s backyard but what you soon realise is that the coffee plantation is in the jungle. He and his wife are huge wildlife enthusiasts - we saw so much, a sleeping toucan, armadillos, snakes, owls and much more. After doing a couple of more commercials animal tours, this was a breathe of fresh air and a glimpse into something special

So much wildlife!
We saw a sleeping toucan, kinkajou, viper, tarantula, frogs, lizards, and even a mother and baby sloth! Our guide, Marcos, was so respectful of the forest and its wildlife. We really enjoyed getting to learn more about the animals and the forest from him. We never felt rushed and loved that he made sure each member of our group walked away with high quality pictures and a greater understanding of the rainforest ecosystem. Truly an incredible and unique experience!

Wonderful birding day!
Jason was a wonderful guide! He was my first birding guide in Costa Rica but I went on to have several more in other parts of the country and Jason was the best by far. His knowledge of birds and their calls/songs was very impressive. I saw 50 species of birds on this tour I booked through Viator (I ended up being solo) and then I booked two additional outings with Jason - birding to Santa Elena cloud forest and a wildlife night walk, both of which were excellent. Jason knew I wanted to see a Quetzal and when we hadn’t found one by the end of our second birding outing, he went out of his way to take me to one more spot where he thought he might find one, and HE DID! Lovely experience, I’ve already recommended him to a friend who wants to go birding in Costa Rica. Definitely would reach out to Jason again if I was in the area.

Excellent experience, recommended
Excellent experience, we went with positive thoughts but low expectations in terms of the wildlife (it is wild, rarely performs on cue) , but our guide, Olger, was amazing - we saw a mottled owl, capuchin and spider monkeys, a bell bird, a toucan, a hummingbird, a viper , and briefly , a quetzal!
