What are people saying about Marseille

Great e-bike tour
Great tour to see all of Marseille. Covered a lot of things and evokes make the biking part easy but suggest you are pretty comfortable on a bike. There are times where you are on tighter roads with cars and buses and others through tighter town areas with people.
Our tour guide was great and offered the right amount of information and suggestions for our group. Perfect length of time to see everything and grab lunch and shop before heading back to cruise ship.

Yummy
Our guide, Inez was such fun. She took us to an artistic neighborhood with all sorts of options for food. She took us to her favorite places and offered history of the area as we walked along each progressive meal. We had cheese with 2 excellent wines, then a special pizza place (so yummy), then to a Mediterranean restaurant for vegetable dishes and a local drink. Then dessert at a unique ice cream shop. We left full and well entertained.

great food tour in Marseille
we had a leisurely stroll through Marseille and stopped at three savoury bites restaurants and two sweet bites restaurants. Our tour guide was phenomenal – degree in architecture and works in public planning as a consultant – but also loves food and is an engaging conversationalist. We learned a lot about the history of the area and not only that had good food along the way. They were only three guests on this tour – which amounted to a private tour for a very reasonable cost. Lovely time.

We really enjoyed the...
We really enjoyed the opportunity to see the different areas of the region. It was great to explore the unique villages, taste some of the olive oil and almonds, see the Gorges du Verdon, and the beautiful lavender fields. Claire was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Great way to experience Marseille
“M” was an exceptional guide, ride was extremely scenic and the bikes made big hills a breeze for even the least experienced riders in the group. Astar the dog was an amazing greeter at the beginning and end, and a cold beer at the shop served by an amazing hostess was a great way to end the ride (it was 95F that day, cold beer never tasted so good!)

Wine tour
My friend and I booked this tour the day before. It was the BEST decision. Eric was our tour guide for the wineries. He was sooo nice and he was very knowledgeable about the wineries and the wineries of the this region. He also has a good relationship with these wineries. We couldn’t have breakfast before the tour and we told him. He took us to a bakery before tasting all of the wine. That was so nice of him. Definitely recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour
We really enjoyed our tour with Gilles. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have seen negative reviews that said he was on his phone too much but I felt that his time on his phone was more about making sure we never felt like we were on his schedule. He had a tour in mind for us but also never wanted us to feel rushed or pressured. He wanted us to spent as much or as little time wandering as we wanted. He was always present both physically and mentally if we wanted to talk or learn about something but it never felt like he was hovering.
He was very knowledgeable and shared lots of great information with us, as we are very interested in history. He really made sure we saw wha we wanted and he even ended up spending extra time touring with us.
My older and less mobile parents were with us too and he was always very patient making arrangements so that they could do things at their pace while the rest of us did things faster.
Over all, a wonderful tour

Eric was a great guide....
Eric was a great guide. Even with a full group, he was easy to understand and he ensured that he answered all the questions and all could hear. The 3 wineries we visited were each unique and showed the range of wine in the region. Eric had lots of recommendations and tips for visitors in marseille. I learned a lot about rose and the wine in this region! Also great group of other travelers, had good chats in the bus, ate lunch together and exchanged contacts for other activities.

Shore Excursion Marseille
My husband and I took this tour with Severine. There were no other people on our tour, so it turned into a private tour. It was one of our favorite tours we have ever taken. We saw the city while gaining knowledge of the culture, people, and history. The pace was perfect. We sampled so many different types of food and drinks. She was able to modify to meet our desires. The people in the establishments knew Severine, so it was very nice to see the relationships which had been established. For people who our on a cruise ship like we were - it was easy to grab a taxi at the pier and Severine helped us get the taxi at the end. They took us directly to the ship. The total cost of the taxis was $50 Euros. I highly recommend you take this tour.

We would 100% recommend...
We would 100% recommend this tour if you need a cruise ship excursion at the Marseille port! The cost is high but it is definitely worth it! Our guide Eric was extremely knowledgeable about wine and was amazing to talk to. Would recommend opting to do a casual lunch in Aix so you can explore the town a little during your free time!
