What are people saying about Malaga

Christin was lovely very...
Christin was lovely very informative and great bubbly personality.
However we followed the meeting place directions to the T and they weren’t correct. It took us to the wrong end of the road and therefore we missed our 12.30 tour. Nobody had heard of Viator we spoke to tourist information to tour guides that we did see and many tourists as well. We spoke to Georgina (I think was her name) but she was not able to help direct us as she didn’t know Malaga location. She booked us onto the 5pm tour but it wasn’t what we wanted. I received a WhatsApp message from Christin which came through literally as we were finishing our tour at 6.30pm. We should have received this first thing in the morning THEN we would have been standing in the correct part of the road at 12.15 ready not at the other end. We explained to Christin about our 12.30 booking and incorrect direction details and she said “ Lots of people say the same” !!!!!! This is not good Viator!!!! I have used you for trips before in other cities and this time I was very disappointed and as a consequence of then having to hang around all day to do our tour the car parking costs went up to Euros 15.90. So I’d like Viator to compensate me with the price of one member of my party please. I look forward to hearing from you asap

Would Happily Take This Trip Again
What a wonderful trip! Love how they emphasized safety first. Highly organized. Visitanddo really went above and beyond. I appreciate that we were given a map with numbered locations of things to see, along with a description of each site. I also appreciate that we were given the option to go off on our own or stay with our very knowledgeable guide, Pepe. The sites were stunning. The Visitanddo bus was very clean and comfortable. Domingo is an excellent driver. I would happily take the trip again with Pepe and Domingo, taking a little more time to see the sites, learn more interesting facts about the Malaga region, Setenil de las Bodegas, and Ronda from Pepe, while being carefully driven to the sites by Domingo.

Excellent value - great trip
The entire tour was well worth the money. It was well organized - the tour guide, Anna, was excellent & the bus driver was experienced & safe. It was so much easier than trying to do the trip ourselves. The Caminito del Rey tour was, of course, wonderful as well, with very informative guides. We had a truly great day.

Excellent historical tour
This was a very interesting and educational tour of the Cathedral and fortress in Malaga. The history of the past centuries was discussed including how different tribes/races thrived or fell over the years. The history of the Roman Theatre was very interesting as well as the fortress. The views from the top were magnificent and it was easy to imagine the fort from the 11 th Century. The tour of the Cathedral was also nice and we gained more knowledge of the religion and architecture of the church and various sculptures and paintings. Well worth the mo money and Daniel and his worker in training were excellent.

Adventurous day in Gibraltar
Great excursion to Gibraltar. Would very much recommend booking this tour instead of driving there yourself. Drop-off directly at the border. The guide took us to Casemates Square on foot and booked a rock tour for those who wanted. All very convenient and easy.

Excellent Wine and Tapas Experience
The tour is beautifully organised, starting at the most historic wine producer and bar in Malaga and then winding it's way through the historic centre with stops to learn about and enjoy the wine and tapas typical of the area. Our host Felipe shared his iknowledge and nfectious enthusiasm for the wine and food of the area resulting in a thoroughly enjoyable evening with like minded travellers.

Setenil de las Bodegas and Ronda
This trip was excellent. I learned about the very interesting history of both towns. Setenil de las bodegas was very interesting even though it was a very cold and foggy morning, I enjoyed it immensely. Ronda was also very nice. I enjoyed listening to the history of this town. Orson Wells loved Ronda so much that he requested to have his ashes spreaded at a farm he spent his time at. Ernest Hemingway was a frequent visitor to Ronda as well Japanese painter Miki Haruta spent his last days there painting the mountains and an urn with his is at the place where painted at at the end of his life. I highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely perfect day in Tangier
This tour could not have been better. It was everything, from beautiful photo ops, to riding a camel, to lots of interesting history, beautiful and low-pressure shopping opportunities, to the most amazing feast for lunch. But the real clincher was when I left my jacket in the van in Tangier. The next day in Malaga it was returned to me—an operation that involved the driver in Tangier, someone to bring it across on the ferry, and a special delivery in Spain at my hotel. An unbelievable effort for a lost jacket. I cannot recommend this group highly enough. I had the time of my life.

Wonderful experience on the Caminito del Rey!
Wonderful experience. Esmerelda was an absolutely fantastic guide! The scenery is amazing, and the guide and driver were both so skilled and enthusiastic about their work. Esmerelda is so knowledgeable and compassionate. We highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful day out from Malaga.
The trip to Cordoba was exactly as described. Our tour guide, Sara, made the bus ride interesting. We had the self-guided tour, allowing us 5 hours to explore Cordoba on our own, which gave us enough time to see the sights that interested us, enjoy a relaxing lunch, and take a walk by the river. If doing the self-guided tour, purchase your Mezquita tickets in advance, as time slots do sell out. It took about 2 hours to get to Cordoba from Malaga with a bathroom / coffee break on the way. 1.5 hours back, as there was no break, so also be sure to use the bathroom before leaving Cordoba. Overall a wonderful day trip.

Wowed by the Caminito :D
As I was only the second collection for the day, it was a long gap to arriving at the coffee stop, but I was aware of this, and patient with the process. It does, however, make for a long day from Fuengirola (or similar area). There was a friendly greeting from Samir (driver) and Benjamin (guide) and lots of interesting information on the drive, which also continued on the walk itself. The section to the start was a bit longer than expected, but a good indication of the terrain for the day. Once on the platforms, it's .just WOW! And kept getting wower (if that's a word). Everything feels solid, railings are containing and there is a wire on the cliff if you need a safety touch. The gaps between the boards are obvious, so it could be triggering if worried about heights. We had beautiful weather, with blue skies and cool breeze, not too many groups - I definitely wouldn't choose to do it in summer. I actually found the end section the most challenging - quite a few stairs, narrow treads and inclines and then steepish downhill to the picnic area. I was proud I had done it, but I didn't have a lot left in the tank. A cool beer revived my spirits before the drive home, with more excellent commentary from Benjamin. Well worth the money and a very smooth operation.

This was a great way to...
This was a great way to see the Caminito del Rey! Our trail guide, Maria, was a delight and we got so much more out of the walk than we would have without a guide. Janet, our guide on the bus, was really clear and informative and our bus driver was terrific. This was a highlight of our Malaga stay.

Malaga is full of attractions, from museums to castles to markets. But this city in the south of Spain is also a gateway to highlights of the region and beyond. Tear yourself away from Malaga to explore options for day trips including journeys to Seville, Granada, and Cordoba. Some Malaga day trips also venture beyond the border of Spain to destinations including Tangier in Morocco and Gibraltar. Most day trips include convenient round-trip transportation from Malaga.
