All La Paz Tours & Excursions in 2026

It was a wonderful and very fulfilling tour. The cable car ride was especially impressive. La Paz is connected by cable cars almost like a metro system, and seeing the entire city from above was an amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had an excellent understanding of the city and every place we visited. The explanations throughout the tour were very informative and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting La Paz.

We are very positive surprised about the trip. Active comminication for all necessary information, pick up from our hotel with very helpful and kind guide Miguel, good pizza on board and confortable seats. We arrived perfectly on time in Uyuni and finally special thanks to Saida for the support after arrival.

Loved the door to door service of Joker Expedition. From hotel pickup at La Paz, to the bus terminal. The driver stayed with us till we boarded the correct bus. After 8-9 hours of travel overnight, another driver picked us up in Uyuni, drove to the hotel where we had good buffet breakfast. The hotel provided a room where we can rest a little and freshen up. In an hour or so, our tour guide Lily and same driver picked us up from the hotel. Lily is so lovable. She’s kind, happy, and takes the best videos and photos. She brought her small photo props and used them at our pictorials. She made our experience at the salt flats so memorable. I highly recommend her. We also had a good lunch setup at the salt flats. It was so surreal experience having lunch at out of nowhere. At first I was worried because my husband is vegetarian. Our buffet lunch (prepared by Joker Expedition staff) was so good. There was so much variety. After lunch we headed to more areas around the salt flats until it was sunset. We were so lucky that the previous snowfall a week earlier provided a little amount of water on the flat which had provided a good reflection for the photos. The moon shone at the opposite direction the sun was setting. It was absolutely an incredible phenomenon. Our videos taken by Lily were amazing. Due too much water in some areas we were not able to see the cacti in some island. But we were so impressed at the flats already so it didn’t matter. After our experience we drove back to the hotel. Waited a bit till it was near departure time. Our driver, Gabriel, also did a good job keeping us safe throughout the day. Then it was time to depart from Uyuni back to La Paz. Another 8-9 hours of bus travel overnight. Arrived in La Paz early morning and the same driver picked us up from the bus station back to our hotel in La Paz. The sleeper bus ride was a bit challenging but the whole experience was so worth it. Thanks Viator and Joker Expedition for memories we will cherish.

My experience was incredible, the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Giovana is very helpful, willing to help and make sure everyone has a wonderful experience. Safe outing, Giovana had oxygen in case someone was feeling unwell, she provided support for those with more difficulty. The tour offers a snack!

Amazing private tour with Santiago. Santiago was extremely friendly personable and knowledgeable and gave full background on both Valley’s as well as the history of La Paz. The fact it was a private tour meant you could do it at your own pace, and stop and take in the views for longer if you’d like. Would definitely recommend. Especially if you want one tour to showcase La Paz in one go.

If you find a better experience in La Paz, I would like to know. Aracely is the perfect person to introduce you to La Paz and her culture. I am a world traveler. I’ve done lots and lots of tours. This by far was my favorite. There are many things I could say, but I do not want to ruin the surprises. Experience this one for yourself.

We were picked up on time and then it went up. We had great weather and saw all the surrounding mountains. There were plenty of photo stops and our guide Patti told a lot of interesting things. The highlight is definitely the Esmerald lagoon. You start at 4600 meters and walk about 1.2 kilometers to get to 5040 meters. You have about 1 hour for the ascent, 1 hour at the lagoon and 30 minutes for the descent. Because of the height, challenging, but feasible. Be sure to take water with you and drink small amounts again and again. Overall a great experience, which I can 100% recommend.

Simply an amazing experience. The organization by Altitude was perfect from the first moment, bike and equipment in excellent condition, food and water available all day. Wonderful our guides Eloy and Isra, went out of their way to ensure an amazing day and a safe experience for all participants.
