Hiro was so lovely,...
Hiro was so lovely, knowledgeable and energetic. We loved where she took us, and how she taught us about the various temples was helpful and easy to understand. She rolled with it when we decided to take a taxi and uber instead of the train as originally discussed, and gave us a great lunch recommendation. Everyone should be so lucky to get Hiro!

Delightful Day at Kochi
We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Kochi with Kimy as our guide. From start to finish, everything was perfectly planned and executed.
Our tour included visits to Kochi Castle, a delightful sake tasting, a delicious Japanese lunch, Chikurinji Temple, and the beautiful Makino Botanical Garden. Each stop offered something unique, and Kimy shared fascinating insights about the history, culture, and traditions of the area.
What made the day truly special was Kimy’s exceptional care and attention, especially toward my elderly parents. She was patient, thoughtful, and attentive to their needs throughout the tour, ensuring they were comfortable and able to enjoy every part of the experience. Her kindness and professionalism gave us complete peace of mind.
Kochi is a beautiful destination, but Kimy made it unforgettable. Thanks to her, we enjoyed a perfect day filled with wonderful sights, delicious food and sake, and lasting memories. We highly recommend this tour and especially Kimy to anyone visiting Kochi.

Customized Tokyo tour with guide and driver
Expensive tour but to be fair, Tokyo is not cheap. Had a great guide, Tomo, and a driver. Very comfortable, spacious van. Tomo was very pleasant. She customized our visit. Even took us on a bullet train ride because my 85 year-old Mom was curious. We conquered the Shibuya crossing in a wheelchair. I highly recommend!

Essential Osaka tour
Our tour guide was Marii and she was great. She’s upbeat, friendly, and engaging. She took us to hidden spots and told us interesting facts about Osaka and Japan. You can tell she loves the city. She gave us recommendations on where to dine and shop. This is a very informative and useful tour as it helped us get a lay of the land and make Osaka less overwhelming. Highly recommend!

Haru was an excellent...
Haru was an excellent tour guide. He was extremelyknowledgeable and provided a lot of very useful and interesting information during our tour. He communicated with me multiple times via email to design an itinerary that was desired by my family. My family wanted to focus our tour in one particular area and he was able to create a schedule that was very workable. We were not rushed, and he allowed us to explore the areas, but also kept us on the schedule. I highly recommend this tour and thank you for HARU as a guide.

Day packed with adventures
Eiji was waiting for us with a sign as soon as we got off our cruise ship. He was full of educational information knowledge of the city, patient with our pace & laughed with us. He made sure we had a full day of site seeing while making sure we got back to our cruise ship port on time. If you're cruising & looking for tours, go with Viator instead of booking thru cruise ship. Much more personable tour with guide & you'll see more. We rode taxis, boat, trains & walked through so many sites in Hiroshima. Long but very enjoyable day.

Exceptional Tour Guide Experience in Kyoto – A Must-Remember Adventure!
If you're planning a trip to Kyoto, look no further than Motoko—truly the best tour guide we've ever had! Over our journey through the city, they expertly led us to all the top 10 must-see places, making every moment both memorable and meaningful.
What made the experience so special was not just the itinerary, but how Motoko brought each location to life. From the golden glow of Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) to the serene bamboo groves of Arashiyama, every stop felt curated with care and deep local insight. We visited ancient temples like Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of vermilion torii gates, explored the peaceful gardens of Gion, and marveled at the iconic Kiyomizu-dera temple overlooking the city. Each site wasn't just photographed—it was understood.
Beyond the history and temples, Motoko introduced us to the soul of Kyoto through its culinary culture.
What truly sets this guide apart is their endless knowledge and genuine passion for the city. They shared stories behind centuries-old traditions, explained intricate details of Buddhist architecture, and even helped us navigate language barriers with grace. The charm of Kyoto became palpable under their guidance—every alleyway, shrine, and seasonal detail revealed new wonder.
Highly recommended for first-time visitors and repeat travelers alike. If you value depth over surface-level touring, patience over rushing, and heart over checklists—this guide is for you.

Wonderful Day in Tokyo!
This is truly a customized experience. We were met at our hotel by our guide, Sota. His English was impeccable as was his knowledge of history and the city of Tokyo. You will be paying for your and his public transportation, a bargain in Tokyo. He was very patient with our speed , being a little older. He was open to changing the schedule as needed or preferred. So enjoyed his information and getting to know him. We were able to see everything we wanted plus some extras. He was very good at giving us directions on how we could navigate back to our hotel at the end of the tour. Learned so much. Loved the tour, highly recommend.

excellent tour with a wonderful guide
The Hakone area is absolutely beautiful and there is a lot to see so it was great to have an excellent guide (Hiro) who was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Hiro was able to shepherd us around using public transit very effectively. Highlights included black eggs, superb view of Mt. Fuji, a short boat ride on Lake Ashinoko, and an incredible Azalea garden at Hotel de Yama.

Great Walking Tour with Milo
We had a great 3 hour walking tour of Kyoto on our first day in town with Milo. Not only did we get a thorough tour with an excellent overview of the city and culture - he also gave us great recommendations for the rest of our time here. Milo really adjusted to our family’s interests and energy level and made it feel like “our” tour instead of a formula. We would enjoy touring with him again!

Perfect intro to Japan!
We had a 4 hour private tour on our first morning in Tokyo, and it was the perfect introduction to Japan! We had been contacted by our guide Maddie before the tour, and we told her a few of the places we wanted to visit. She helped us navigate the train station and walked us through all the areas we wanted to see, as well as many other stops along the way that we wouldn’t have seen without her. Maddie was very knowledgeable and friendly, and spoke very clear English. She knew exactly which routes to take, and we would have taken at least twice as long if we tried to go to all those areas without her. She was a great guide and we wished we could have taken her along for the rest of our trip!
