About 240 km north of Hurghada lie some of Egypt’s oldest Christian monasteries, among the holiest places for Egyptian Orthodox Copts. The Monastery of St. Anthony is the oldest Christian monastery in the world. Founded in the 4th century by followers of St. Anthony, the father of monasticism, it still houses more than 100 monks. Its ancient church holds his tomb, with medieval wall paintings and a library of rare manuscripts. Each monastery has a spring of unknown source; the water has flowed for centuries and still supplies the gardens. Above St. Anthony’s, a church and his cave sit on the mountain — 1,420 steps, if you are fit for it. A seamless day trip to Cairo

Everything went as planned, the transport, the flights etc.The guide Falcon was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable and gave us just the right amount of information for us to be able to understand the pyramids and the history of the ancient kings and queens, and the gods of ancient Egypt. The lunch had something for everyone. I would highly recommend this trip with Falcon and The Book Tours.

Super guide Gamil… also took photos for us…. well organized… good info …bus was always there….unfortunately no stop at the bazaar… visit to perfumery (we didn't feel comfortable at all) and papyrus we liked less, was also not described anywhere… at the pyramids and in the museum we felt safe…. outside a different world… all in all a nice tour….

It was a great private boat trip. The crew was awesome. The day was nice. The snorkeling spots could have been a bit better but it was ok. Pickup, return transport was really good and ahead of schedule. Food on board was also super. The mango especially.

Luxor - a great day

After an interesting journey through the desert landscape, our local guide Osama Mohawes explained the temples of Luxor to us excellently as a "local" and brought Egyptian history closer to us. I cannot imagine it any better. In between, he organized a local meal and combined a trip on the Nile with an optional visit to "Banana Island" - a small zoo, a joy and relaxation for children on a strenuous cultural day. Osama also had many little tips for Egypt ready. The return trip to the coast in the limousine with our driver David was then rather adventurous.

Excellent experience!!

The ride to the camp can be really bumpy and is a bit long but very fun!! The driver will give you a full experience! The stargazing site is deep in the desert(so little light pollution). There is a beduin family there and will show how they live. After stargazing (through very good telescopes) it’s dinner time. The food was very good and very tasty! All in all an excellent experience. We were very lucky because there were no clouds. Everybody ( guide pick up people and jeep drivers) is very friendly and do everything in their power to give you the best experience!

Beautiful day with the family, doable with a toddler.

Beautiful day with many discoveries. A friendly guide (Zakaria) with great knowledge of Egypt. I recommend it. The only small downside for me was that I had booked by selecting 4:30 for the time (small 3-year-old girl) and the final meeting time was at 3:40. Very comfortable bus and attentive guides.

Incredible experience

An incredible experience. Hotel pickup, punctual. The guides were very friendly and very approachable. An unforgettable experience. First we visited Orange Bay where we spent an hour and a half, walking around the area and taking photos on the beach. The water was very crystal clear and a very good atmosphere. We returned to the boat and had our lunch. Throughout the trip we had hot and cold drinks. Afterward we made two stops for snorkeling. The experience was incredible, so many areas with coral and so many fish. The experience is highly recommended. You cannot leave Egypt without experiencing it.

This trip is an absolute must do when here. Alex and his team were brilliant the whole day. The snorkeling was experience was brilliant and well explained. By the 2nd stop our 11 year old was happy to go snorkeling on his own with the team and we trusted them enough for this to happen. The whole day was brilliant. Orange Bay is beautiful.

Punctual taxi picked up at 8:00, by Ahmed. Most friendly Egyptian so far 10 days in.. The boat also very nice. Most beautiful was really the Dolphins and the coral. Note that if they are spotted, the boat will sail slowly. And you have to jump off the aft deck super fast. They'll be gone in seconds. A total of 6x the dolphins incl small babies seen. Sometimes you're late, but then on the next jump you'll see them... So be one of the first in the water. On the way there after the dolphins visit the coral.. also for lesser swimmers to do. Because then you hang on the lifebuoy that the instructor takes with him. A super experience.. We're going in 3 dgn again!

First of all, a big compliment to Mansour, our guide in Cairo. He is very nice and friendly, can engage the group, and knows all the exciting facts about historic Cairo and its buildings. Our excursion was fantastic! Starting from the pickup at the hotel to the transport to Cairo and the return trip. Everything went wonderfully, and the bus was very clean and comfortable. The visit to the old Egyptian museum was a lot of fun, as was the trip to the hanging church and the oldest mosque (this only works on Fridays!) A small Nile cruise (10€ per person) was also offered for those who wanted it. The best part was the trip to the Pyramids Plateau in Giza. Around 3:00 PM, we were there and had the Pyramids and the Sphinx all to ourselves. There is a deduction for the Mawlana BBQ "restaurant." This dive that calls itself a restaurant is an absolute disgrace! The cheapest, reheated cafeteria food, overpriced drinks, and staff constantly asking for tips for napkins, toilet paper, and glasses, along with dirty restrooms, were the absolute disgrace. Improvements need to be made here, or a better restaurant should be booked for the customers. Great trip, great team, fantastic tour guide, memories for a lifetime! Aside from the aforementioned lunch, it’s 9.5 out of 10 points. Top-notch! We were very satisfied and felt very safe.
